WICKETpublished at 12:33 British Summer Time 18 August 2020

    Hurt c Moores b Trego 1 (Notts 472 v Lancashire 173)

That's your lot for Lancashire - who trail by 299.

Liam Hurt pushes forward to Peter Trego, who finds the edge and keeper Tom Moores takes it two-handed diving to his right.

Lancashire's last four wickets went down for 15 runs, and Trego, Tom Barber and Zak Chappell finish with three each.

We await confirmation of the follow-on.

Paceman Tom Barber has his third wicket of the morning as Tom Bailey flashes hard and is caught at first slip by Ben Duckett.

Liam Hurt is Lancashire's last man - and they are surely staring at the follow-on now.

    Brookes b Gregory 12 (Warks 121 & 138-7 v Somerset 413-9 dec)

    Lewis Gregory.Image source, Getty Images

A huge breakthrough for Somerset half an hour before lunch.

Henry Brookes can only drag Lewis Gregory on to his stumps and Somerset are much happier with their morning's work.

Until Brookes' departure is immediately followed by a third rain shower of the day and the players are off the field again...

  4. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:28 British Summer Time 18 August 2020

    Azad b Carse 19 (Durham 291-8 dec & forfeit v Leics forfeit & 34-1)

Here comes Brydon Carse and he strikes with his first delivery as Hassan Azad is bowled off the inside edge. Good way to start!

Harry Dearden is the new batsman and opens his account with an excellent off-drive for four off Carse.

    The Leicestershire target is 292.

  5. Hartley hangs on - buts Wood departspublished at 12:27 British Summer Time 18 August 2020

    Notts 472 v Lancashire 168-8

    Tom HartleyImage source, Rex Features

He's only playing his second first-class match but Tom Hartley is showing plenty of fighting spirit for Lancashire.

The left-hander has now batted for over an hour and a half for his 13 not out, having come to the wicket in the final session last evening.

They have, though, just lost Luke Wood, who was surprised by a full toss from Tom Barber and only succeeding in lobbing a catch to Ben Slater.

The follow-on is looking very likely......

Felipe los Hundos: Easy win for Kent ahead. Darren Stevens to take a quick 9-for and Denly to knock the runs off. Come on Kent!

Slightly optimistic, Felipe - but we wouldn't put anything past the superhero Darren Stevens to be fair.

  7. 100 runs

100 for Fellpublished at 12:23 British Summer Time 18 August 2020

    Worcs 219 & 252-6 v Northants 212

If Worcestershire end up winning this one, they will owe a big debt to Tom Fell who has produced the big knock both teams were looking for.

And now he's past the nervous 90s, he and Ed Barnard are really letting loose - they have just hit Gareth Berg for 20 off one over to take their partnership to 80.

Fell's raced up to 108 while a flurry of boundaries including a big six have put Barnard on 47.

  8. Postpublished at 12:17 British Summer Time 18 August 2020

    Durham 291-8 dec & forfeit v Leics forfeit & 33-0

Leicestershire are starting to pick up the tempo now as they chase a target of 292 in 82 overs.

A beautiful straight drove for four by Hassan Azad is followed by a clip off his legs for another.

And Sam Evans has just flashed Ben Raine away behind square for a boundary in the 11th over. He has 13 not out and Azad has 19.

KENT ALL OUT FOR 191published at 12:15 British Summer Time 18 August 2020

    Qadri c Andersson b Cummins 5 (Kent 191 all out v Middlesex 269)

It's a first-innings lead of 78 for Middlesex as Kent fail to register a batting point at Canterbury despite Joe Denly's 89.

The tail crumbled as the hosts lost their final four wickets for just nine runs, with last man Hamidullah Qadri caught at third slip to hand Miguel Cummins a five-for for Middlesex.

A couple of hours with the bat and a declaration from the visitors lies ahead perhaps?

    Root c Hankins b Payne 13 (Glamorgan 116 & 49-3 v Glos 181)

Oof, we love a good one-handed catch, don't we? Check this one out...

Gloucestershire's George Hankins won't claim many better than this at second slip as he sees off Billy Root for David Payne's sixth wicket of this match.

    Brown st Wheater b Harmer 5 (Sussex 194 & 79-5 v Essex 140)

Ben Brown is dismissedImage source, Rex Features

    Harmy strikes again at Hove.

Ben Brown comes down the track, the ball spins back between bat and pad and Adam Wheater does the rest.

The Sussex skipper doesn't even bother to look at the umpire before walking back to the pavilion.

They lead by 133 - but if Essex can rattle through the rest, the game could be theirs for the taking.

  13. Postpublished at 12:06 British Summer Time 18 August 2020

    Warks 121 & 123-6 v Somerset 413-9 dec

Warwickshire pass their first innings total as Alex Thomson dispatches Craig Overton to the leg side boundary rope to move on to 18 not out.

Decent resistance from the Bears this morning, helped by the rain interruptions perhaps. Somerset will want to break the partnership of Thomson and Henry Brookes before lunch.

    Yorkshire 400-6 dec v Derbyshire 1980-6 - start delayed

In case you were wondering, there hasn't been any play yet in Leeds because of rain.

Derbyshire only need three more runs to make sure of not having to follow-on and the loss of time is making it look very unlikely that Yorkshire will be able to make it three wins out of three in the BWT.

    Stewart c Holden b Harris 1 (Kent 186-9 v Middlesex 269)

    Even nervier for Kent now.

Just moments after Darren Stevens edges Martin Andersson to slip, Grant Stewart gets a leading edge off James Harris that flies all the way to backward point for Max Holden to take the catch.

Two wickets in four balls for Middlesex - and Kent are still 14 runs away from a batting point.

  16. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:57 British Summer Time 18 August 2020

    Croft c sub b Barber 59 (Notts 472 v Lancashire 158-7)

Well bowled, Tom Barber, who surprises Steven Croft with extra lift and the ball lobs to gully off the shoulder of the bat, where substitute Liam Patterson-White takes the catch.

Former Notts all-rounder Liam Wood is the new batsman - and Lancashire need to reach 273 to avoid the follow-on.

    Stevens c Robson b Andersson 4 (Kent 186-8 v Middlesex 269)

I had this pegged for a certain draw but all of a sudden it's getting very nervy for Kent.

  18. Postpublished at 11:54 British Summer Time 18 August 2020

    Warks 121 & 116-6 v Somerset 413-9 dec

Somerset's players have been huddled near the boundary at Edgbaston, in a not-so-subtle attempt to say to the umpires 'Hey, it's stopped raining, we can play now'.

It seems to have worked as well - the covers are coming off and the bails back on.

  19. Postpublished at 11:53 British Summer Time 18 August 2020

    Durham 291-8 & forfeit v Leics forfeit & 5-0

A watchful start by Leicestershire in their quest to score 292 in 82 overs following the earlier Durham declaration and double innings forfeit.

Five iovers have gone, Hassan Azad has three and Sam Evans two - they were the two 'pie-throwers' chosen this morning to hasten Durham towards their agreed total. But Azad did take a wicket!

    Clark lbw Harmer 10 (Sussex 194 & 72-4 v Essex 140)

    Simon HarmerImage source, Rex Features

You didn't think we'd get through day four of this match without Simon Harmer having a say, did you?

Tom Clark pushes well forward, but Harmer has no doubts that it is out, and neither has the umpire.

Sussex lead by 126 and Ben Brown and Aaron Thomason are now together, both still on nought.
