Middlesex go to tea still trailing by 117 with three wickets in hand.
But 18-year-old debutant Blake Cullen has shown plenty of courage - he has 24 from 87 balls and has been at the crease for just shy of two hours.

A good session for Worcestershire.
You can't build a big total without a platform and that's what Daryl Mitchell and Jake Libby have set about providing.
Both men have enjoyed good form in the three games so far.
Mitchell has pulled Tim Bresnan and driven Alex Thomson's offspin for boundaries.
Libby has three fours of his own including his own pull off Bresnan and two leg side flicks.
