I was travelling the USA with my best friend. During this innings we were on a Greyhound bus from Portland to San Francisco, and I treated myself to some data roaming on my Blackberry (other smart handsets are available), reading the BBC live feed and constantly amazed at the lack of wickets

Chris Jordan, incidentally, is now level with Stuart Broad as England men's leading international T20 wicket-taker.

That Tom Curran catch gets better and better. The wind is blowing across him at mid-on and he's had to shove both hands above his head before leaping backwards to take the catch.

    De Kock c T Curran b Jordan 30 (SA 48-2)

    What a great catch!

Quinton de Kock decides to smash Chris Jordan down the ground but he doesn't get enough of the ball. The ball hangs high and long in the air, giving Tom Curran enough time to settle himself underneath it, think about his life choices and then dive backwards to nestle the ball into his chest.

  6. SA 48-1published at 5.1 overs

Oh, that's a shot! Chris Jordan's first delivery is short but not short enough to trouble Quinton de Kock, who merrily slaps the ball through the leg side and between the two fielders in the deep.

Chris Jordan is going to replace Jofra Archer.

  8. SA 44-1published at 5 overs

    Run-rate 8.80

Reeza Hendricks is off the mark, taking a gift of a delivery from Tom Curran and whirling it off his pads and away for four.

  9. SA 37-1published at 4.2 overs

Tom Curran replaces his brother and watches his second delivery get flogged for four by Quinton de Kock. Ouch.

  10. SA 33-1published at 4 overs

    Archer 2-0-9-1

Reeza Hendricks is in at three for South Africa.

That wicket-taking delivery was 93mph, by the way.

  11. wicket

    Bavuma b Archer 13 (SA 33-1)

    Well, that's comprehensive...

Temba Bavuma goes for a big thumping strike across the line, goes through with the shot too early, and toe-ends a Jofra Archer delivery onto his stumps, which get absolutely splattered in the process.

  12. SA 33-0published at 3.3 overs

See? We listen to you lot. Occasionally.

Temba Bavuma continues on his merry way by getting down on one knee and driving Jofra Archer with aplomb for four.

  14. SA 26-0published at 3 overs

Temba Bavuma finishes off an increasingly expensive over by scooping Sam Curran over his head for four. It's not the most elegant of shots, but it'll do.

  15. 6 runs

    SA 19-0published at 2.3 overs

    Shot!

Quinton de Kock repeats the shot, thrusting one leg out of the way, and this time it goes flying over Jofra Archer's head and into the empty stands. Lovely.

  16. SA 13-0published at 2.2 overs

That'll be four, Sam Curran spearing a slower ball into Quinton de Kock's pads and watching it get lapped away to the boundary.

A casual 91mph in these early stages from Jofra Archer, and Quinton de Kock wisely opts to defend it.

An ugly hoick off a leggy delivery brings De Kock a single before a brute of a short ball, whipping up past Temba Bavuma's nose, brings the over to a close.

I asked Steph to go and get me a pack of crisps from the shop. He's come back with a family pack of them, all for me. What a hero.
