SL 138-3
A very, very good knock. England will have fancied knocking Sri Lanka over, but Wanidu Hasaranga has supported his skipper, accepting the responsibility of a promotion up the batting order. A half-century from 58 balls. Lovely stuff.

Hasaranga is on fire at the moment. He knows there is not much turn and you can trust the bounce so there are shots on offer.
Many thanks, Callum.
This is a sweet way to join the action. Hasaranga gives himself a little room to loft Rashid down the ground for four, then follows up with an inside-out belt past mid-off for another boundary. And the triple! Over mid-off again. He's on 49.
He's never before batted higher than seven...
That's me done for the time being. Stephan Shemilt will take you through the second half of the Sri Lanka innings.
Wanindu Hasaranga is playing this really well. He nudges into the on-side after the boundary, to get off strike.
He's been an able partner for Kusal Perera - who is now up to 65. You can watch some of his best shots of his way to fifty below.
Wanindu Hasaranga shouldn't be batting at seven or eight based on this shot. He plays the most gorgeous cover drive to move to 36.
This is a good pitch. Sri Lanka will need a big score.

This is a such a window for Hasaranga. If he gets a score, he can knock on the captain's door about getting up the order.
"Catch", shouts Jonny Bairstow, as Wanindu Hasaranga dinks one back towards Adil Rashid, but it was well out of his reach.
Bairstow loves to chirp. He never stops.
That's unlucky! Sam Curran finds a nice bit of seam movement away from Wanindu Hasaranga, but it just evades the outside edge of the right hander.
Eoin Morgan has used five bowlers so far. He's still got the option of using Moeen Ali, Liam Livingstone and Joe Root. He's got plenty of options.

I feel like Sri Lanka are building a platform. They just need a meaningful score.
Adil Rashid hasn't caused Sri Lanka any problems yet. They are playing him really well.
They've rotated the strike much better in this game, than in the three Twenty20s too.
This partnership is worth 58 now.
Kusal Perera does the right thing and takes a single to get off strike.
Good, probing over from Sam Curran.
Wow! There's a little bit of movement back in from Sam Curran now, and he beats Kusal Perera between bat and pad.
Perera is rooted in his crease at the moment.
We're back under way and Sam Curran beats Kusal Perera with an absolute beauty.
Perera didn't really move his feet there, though. Has his concentration been affected?

I always wonder what freeze spray does. Does it actually do anything?
Sam Curran has hit Kusal Perera on the bicep now and the physio is out again!
There was a fair bit of steep bounce there for Curran.
Oh, that's poor! Kusal Perera is sweeping now and he hits it hard, but David Willey gets there and then fails to flick it back. He slopes to the floor in disappointment.
That's 13 from the over, and Sri Lanka have taken 21 from Adil Rashid's first three overs.
Shot!
Both Matt Henry and I did debate if Wanindu Hasaranga could bat this high, but he's doing a good job so far.
He's down on one knee again and slop sweeps Adil Rashid over the mid-wicket boundary.

It's been a torrid few days for him. It's a terrific effort in the circumstances.
