You would have to say over 300 would have challenged England today. Maybe 320. Eoin Morgan and Joe Root have not really had to take any risks at all.

Chameera bowls a good short ball that just rushes Eoin Morgan but he manages to evade it.
Root gets hold of a short ball and cuts it to point, looking destined for four but another wonderful piece of fielding means it's a dot ball.
Sri Lanka's fielding has been excellent today, it's a shame they haven't had the runs on the board to back them up.

The Sri Lanka we see here has a lot of players missing. It does seem they are missing a few of quality. Obviously three players have been sent home and some others are absent. They'd be a lot stronger with those players in the team.

Eoin Morgan has played a nice innings with some good shots. This will give him some confidence.
Here's Eoin Morgan's thumping six off Hasaranga earlier.

Dushmantha Chameera returns.
Morgan gets a firm pull shot away but the boundary is saved by a stunning piece of fielding from Nissanka at square leg channelling his inner Superman.
Next ball is carved past cover for four which is greeted by an approving nod and first bump from Joe Root.

Joe Root and Eoin Morgan quite content to pick up what is on offer from the Sri Lanka bowlers. It should be straightforward from here for England.

Asitha Fernando comes back on.
Eoin Morgan, crouched in stance and trademark high back lift, defends five tight deliveries solidly before nicking the strike with a pull shot for a single from the sixth.

I thought Sri Lanka were initially 30 or 40 runs short but now I'm thinking they are 70 or 80 runs short. There's no scoreboard pressure and England's batsmen look completely at ease with the situation. It all comes down to the runs you put on the board. Sri Lanka have useful bowlers but not many who take wickets. They need to bowl to basics.
I thought after Morgan's six a couple of overs ago that these two would start to kick on, but they seem happy enough to take their time with this chase.
You can understand why - there is no need to take any risks - but the crowd might like to see a few more fireworks.

That was 50 off exactly off 50 balls from Eoin Morgan. It was his 55th half-century for England, of which 13 have been converted to hundreds. It is only his second fifty in 17 innings.

The crowd are trying to rouse themselves for a rendition of Hey Jude. The match situation has made this an enjoyable but subdued atmosphere.
Morgan 52, Root 50
The equation goes down to 40 to win for England.
And Root follows four balls later. It's been said before but it's just been a typical, chanceless Joe Root ODI fifty and he brings up England's 200 with it.

It wasn't the most convincing shot to get there, an inside edge onto pad gets him a quick single, but Eoin Morgan gets his half-century at exactly a run a ball.
And it was pitching outside the line of line of leg stump so Sri Lanka lose the review and Morgan survives.
Sri Lanka have gone for an lbw review on Eoin Morgan who was attempting a sweep. Hasaranga liked it, but it looked outside the line at first glance.
Eoin Morgan's had enough of nudging and nurdling as he capitalises on a low full toss from Hasaranga that goes sailing into the stands.

Dhananjaya de Silva comes on with his off-spin. He's had a good day so far with his 91 and the worldie catch to dismiss Jason Roy, so Sri Lanka must be hoping he has the golden arm for them today.
England take four easy runs from his first over.
