Phil just waves him off. He's a good man but he likes a little battle.
Shaheen Afridi v Phil Salt is turning into a battle.
The left armer throws down a bouncer, and Salt takes it on but misses, and Shaheen gives him a few words. Salt just ushers him back to his mind. Off ya pop lad.
The England opener then flicks him fine for four, before picking up a couple through mid-wicket.
Here's Phil Salt smacking Shaheen Afridi all around Edgbaston in the first over.
His mind is on the here and now. It's not wandering, or thinking about his England future. He's just going to enjoy himself.

It's a nervy start from Pakistan and a very aggressive start from Phil Salt and Pakistan.
Target 332
Phil Salt picks up another boundary with an almighty slash down to third.
He threw the whole kitchen at that, never mind the sink.
Babar Azam is back out, and looking very worried, by the way.

That was very unnecessary, absolutely no need for it.
Sloppy from Pakistan, really sloppy.
Phil Salt drives straight to Saud Shakeel, and he needlessly throws at the stumps at the non-striker's end and the ball runs away through the covers for four.
That's poor.

We've seen that from Crawley in that double hundred he scored against Pakistan in Test cricket. It was right out the top draw, great timing.
Target 332
Beautiful!
After picking up two down the ground, Zak Crawley leans on another drive back past the non-striker and the umpire to pick up his first boundary.
An excellent bit of running turns a single to third, into a couple, to end the over.
England are off to a good start.

Phil Salt looks like he's got somewhere to go tonight.
Target 332
There is a noise during that Dawid Malan dismissal, the bat might have just grazed the pad on the way through. That must have been the reason the umpire gave it.
Phil Salt picks up his fifth boundary with a slash through point. He's up to 20 already.

He hasn't nicked the ball and he walked, it's incredible.
Erm.... Dawid Malan didn't edge that. He missed it by a mile.
He looked behind him, before walking pretty much straight away.
Strange.

An extraordinary sequence of events, Malan is not going to review that.
Malan c Rizwan b Hassan 0 (Eng 19-1)
Breakthrough!
Hassan Ali finally gets his line right, and it is a quite superb delivery. It squares Dawid Malan up, and he feathers an edge behind.
It's another missed opportunity for the left hander.
Hassan's trademark explosion celebration is out. Just superb.

It's not a great start from Pakistan. It's the first time in the series they've got a score and not it's time for their bowlers to perform.
Hassan Ali has started with three wides...
Hassan Ali will take the other new ball.
He took five at Lord's in the second ODI on Saturday.

England are flying in response! Pakistan look shell-shocked.
Four in a row! That's 16 from the first over. England are off a flier.
Babar Azam is off the field at the moment. Vice captain Shadab Khan is in charge for the time being.
