  1. Eng 12-0published at 0.5 overs

And again! The best of the lot too.

Phil Salt stands tall and punches back past Dawid Malan at the non-striker's end, and past mid-off, for four more.

  2. Eng 8-0published at 0.4 overs

    Four more.

No shape from Shaheen Afridi and Phil Salt just plonks him over mid-on.

  3. Eng 4-0published at 0.2 overs

England are off and running with a boundary.

It's really, really full from Shaheen and Phil Salt opens the face of the bat to guide it through the covers for four.

Another 30 or so of those, and we might have a game on our hands.

Right, time for England's chase of 332.

The left-arm pace of Shaheen Afridi will get us going.

After Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan put on 179 for the third wicket, Pakistan lost seven wickets for 37 runs.

It was a messy end, but 331-9 represents a great score. It would be a record chase at Edgbaston.

Here are Brydon Carse's five wickets.

England did fight back well at the end, though.

Pakistan were 284-2 after 45 overs, and while they added 45 in the final nine overs, England picked up seven wickets to restrict them.

Saqib Mahmood picked up a couple - see below. Brydon Carse picked up five - his first in one-day cricket - which i'll bring you in a second.

The pair were brilliant, but England did give both a life along the way.

From there on in it was all about Babar Azam. The Pakistan captain took 14 balls to get off the mark, but went on to score his 14th ODI century, and his first score of 150-plus.

He was ably supported by Mohammad Rizwan, who made a 58-ball 74.

Their counter attacking helped propel Pakistan to this huge total of 331.

As Kal explained, Imam-ul-Haq got a let off and cashed in, to make his first meaningful score of the series.

Only an absolute beauty from Matt Parkinson ended his innings.

Saqib Mahmood got another early breakthrough today, as he had Fakhar Zaman caught at second slip.

He's done his chances of forcing his way into the side no harm at all in this series.

    Thanks Kal.

Fair to say you had a much better 25 overs than me.

England's chase should be fun. They don't have much choice, other than to attack from the start.

Right, I'm going to hand you to Callum Matthews who will talk you through the best of that Pakistan innings (and remarkable Babar Azam knock) and see you through the start of England's reply.

So after England won the toss and fielded first, Pakistan fans were wondering if it would be more of the same after two losses. .

But Imam Ul-Haq, who had scores of 0 and 1 so far in this series, started brightly.

Although he did get a let-off after England opted not to review this lbw decision...

It's been good to see the young bowlers under pressure, especially on a flat pitch and they never gave in.

I'll be honest, when I took over from Callum at the 25-over mark, I was half falling asleep at the pace of this innings.

The way it suddenly came alive surprised us all.

Babar Azam is pretty decent, eh?

Pakistan will be thrilled with that batting effort having failed to even reach 200 in the past two games.

  19. Pak 331-9published at 50 overs

Yes, they will. Two runs to Saud Shakeel ends the Pakistan innings and what an eventful and entertaining second half to it it has been.

England need 332 runs to win. We've really got a game on here!
