  1. Eng 155-4published at 20.1 overs

Eoin Morgan has a well-rehearsed answer for you, Theo.

James Vince certainly isn't putting on the brakes. He absolutely clatters a short and wide one from Faheem away to boundary through backward point.

Theo: Again the required run-rate is only 6 so why is Stokes slogging? Baffling decisions

That one just went straight on. Stokes thought it might come in but it held on and a feather of a tickle. That's a big one, Ben Stokes looked like he was on it today. Can the B team now get this over the line?

  4. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 20 overs

    Stokes c Rizwan b Shadab 32 (Eng 151-4)

    Well, well, well.

Shadab Khan will definitely feel justice has been done here - after having Ben Stokes dropped twice off his bowling, the leg-spinner has snared the England captain.

Another slog sweep from Stokes but that wasn't the right line for that shot and he tickles it behind to Mohammad Rizwan, who takes a fine catch.

Huge celebrations from Pakistan. Stokes was dropped on seven and 18, but 32 doesn't represent too much damage, especially with less experienced players to come.

  5. 6 runs

    Eng 151-3published at 19.5 overs

    Very costly as it stands!

Ben Stokes banjaxes a sweep shot off Shadab Khan into a raucous Hollies Stand.

    Costly?

  7. Eng 143-3published at 19 overs

Classy from James Vince as he guides it past point for four.

Over the course of the summer, we've not been blessed with many cliffhangers in the men's games. We had a couple with England women, but not the men.

  9. Eng 138-3published at 18 overs

    Target 332

Shadab Khan must be the most unimpressed person in Birmingham right now.

Two overs that have gone for 14 overall - but two dropped catches.

That's not good positioning. He could have gone two hands, rotated the shoulder. I would put that down as another big drop.

  11. dropped catch

Stokes dropped on 18published at 17.2 overs

What's worse than dropping England talisman Ben Stokes once? Dropping him twice.

This is a tougher chance but Sohaib Maqsood makes it look much tougher than it is.

Stokes tries to clear the fence over long-on, doesn't quite get hold of it and a retreating Maqsood parries it just short of the fence for a one-bounce four.

Went one-handed but probably could've tried with two.

I'm not convinced Faheem will get the breakthrough. I'm not saying he can't but his pace is just gentle.

Ben Stokes is smiling which makes me think Vince is OK. He's got a thick thigh guard which has probably got a dent in it now.

  14. Eng 132-3published at 17 overs

    Target 332

Faheem Ashraf starts his second over and Ben Stokes responds by absolutely mashing a drive into James Vince, who drops to the ground. Sorry mate.

Vince gets up and looks OK.

Stokes mashes another one - and this time past mid-off for four. Glorious.

That is a shocker. It was a nice catchable height, it wasn't drilled and coming at a nice pace.

Shadab played Ben Stokes into the trap. That wasn't a tough chance. A lifeline for England's captain.

  17. dropped catch

Stokes dropped on sevenpublished at 15.4 overs

    Big moment.

Shadab Khan sets the trap and gets Ben Stokes to miscue a sweep shot to Hassan Ali at deep backward square.

Hassan has time to get there but spills it...and the ball rolls into the fence.

Horror moment for the Pakistan seamer. It's worse on replay - his hands completely apart as the ball fell through them and off his body.

The spinners bowled well in tandem in the last game, I think they could create that stranglehold.

That's me done for the day.

I'm going to hand you over to Jack Skelton, who will take you through the next part of the England innings.
