This is a big day. England have to got to bat, and bat long. They need to get up to India's 364 and beyond if they can. I do think this pitch will spin and they've got to bat last on it.

It should be a fascinating day. It should also be the pivotal day in this Test.

Time for a few of England's batsmen to stand up and be counted, then. Both now, and in the second innings.
Michael Vaughan
Former England captain on BBC Test Match Special
England aren't getting their selection right. I don't think they are being ruthless enough; they are being too nice. International level sport is about being ruthless. It's about knowing exactly when you have played someone, seen someone for a period of time, and you know that he can't get any better.
Sometimes you get players that get a lot of opportunities but you find out they are not good enough for this level. It's harsh but it's international sport.
In case you missed it, ex-England captain Michael Vaughan had some very harsh words concerning the team selected for this Test.
