Pujara and Rahane are slowly steering India through choppy waters.

The fifty partnership came in 29.1 overs.
England squeeze in one more over before tea. Sam Curran round the wicket to India's right-handed batsmen.
His second ball is a full toss which Ajinkya Rahane slaps through point for a single to bring up a stand of 50 runs between himself and Cheteshwar Pujara.

Grant: It's right now where we miss Jofra Archer. Imagine having him coming in at the other end with Mark Wood - Pujara and Rahane would have absolutely no respite.

Moeen Ali does look threatening.
A maiden from Moeen Ali as he attempts to draw Ajinkya Rahane into attacking just before tea by tossing a few balls up. The India batsman does not bite, though.

GardinerLDN: This is proper Test match batting from Pujara. We are all quick to complain when people get out cheaply playing the wrong shots. If he had got out early on India would have been in all sorts of bother. Long may it continue, just not today!
A collector's item: a Cheteshwar Pujara boundary.

There must have been an inside edge.
Two chances in two balls for Sam Curran. Cheteshwar Pujara goes at it with hard hands and the ball flashes wide of second slip, and goes to the boundary for four. That was close.
A ball later Curran strikes the pad and appeals vociferously. However, there was a chunk of Pujara's bat on that one.
Mark Wood given a rest after that burst and left-armer Sam Curran has the ball in hand.

There's been a kerfuffle at the bottom of the Mound Stand. A man in a pink shirt has been thrown out, presumably after a drink too many. Whatever he's been doing, a lot of spectators nearby were glad to see the back of him.

Pujara had 13 off his first 113 balls - then 12 from his next 24, which counts as a rampage in the context of this innings.
Moeen Ali is down on his haunches as he turns and appeals to umpire Michael Gough after striking Cheteshwar Pujara on the pad. A brief discussion with Joe Root ensues, but the pair decide against a review. Wise call, as it's hit him outside the line, and possibly too high.
This Test is just one of four cricket matches on the BBC today.
Trent Rockets, fourth in the table, are about to face second-bottom Manchester Originals in the women's Hundred at Trent Bridge.

The men's game - featuring clips plus radio and text commentary - starts at 19:00 BST.
And already under way at the Kia Oval is the One-Day Cup quarter-final, with Surrey chasing 243 to beat Gloucestershire.
Mark Wood grunts as he sends down another short one. There's not much life in this pitch but he is straining every sinew to get something out of it. Ajinkya Rahane keeps his hands out the way, though.

David Grant: The former version of Cricket Mexico was a real winner. Aztec cricketer wearing pads and waving a bat.
A tame over from Moeen Ali before back to the aggressive pace of Mark Wood. He bounces Ajinkya Rahane from round the wicket, and he takes on the hook, but cannot connect.
The crowd roar. Next ball Cheteshwar Pujara pulls away a split second before Wood was due to deliver. Somebody left a glass door open up in the pavilion and it was distracting him.

England are really having a go at Cheteshwar Pujara here. The line of attack is obvious and it is up to him to deal with it.
