That is a good decision by Michael Gough. He has been good.

It was a very good delivery. It may have a knuckle ball or off-cutter. The lack of pace did for Ishant. It was plumb, but he might as well use the review.

    Sharma lbw b Robinson 16

Vital runs from Ishant Sharma but he is on his way. A slower ball from Ollie Robinson accounts for Sharma, though, as he is trapped plumb in front after shuffling across his stumps.

The review was more in hope than expectation.

Ollie Robinson strikes Ishant Sharma on the pad and he's given out by Michael Gough on the field. This looks good for England.

Rishabh Pant dispatched James Anderson with a shot oozing with power and purpose.

From England's perspective, it was over not long afterwards.

Thankfully, Mark Wood finishes his over and looks okay to continue.

Mark Wood doesn't look good. He is grimacing.

Mark Wood has fallen over attempting to field the ball from the fifth delivery of his over. He's clearly in some discomfort.

Shami, remember, had his arm broken by Pat Cummins at Adelaide in December.

  10. Ind 207-7published at 88.3 overs

Mark Wood with a vicious bouncer that hits Mohammed Shami on the shoulder. England appeal, but Richard Illingworth turns it down. Was there some bat involved? England's players discuss a review, but decide against it.

It is good for England that Mark Wood is able to bowl. He'll have that strapping on and he's no doubt taken a couple of very big tablets.

Mark Wood has returned to the field and is preparing to bowl. I'd hazard a guess this over might include some short stuff.

A heave from Ishant Sharma to a slower ball from Ollie Robinson, but he misses it. Mohammed Shami walks down the pitch to have a brief conflab with his India team-mate.

You can sense the frustration growing for England's bowlers.

Mohammed Shami just has to play his shots. If he can get 10 or 15, it doesn't seem a lot but in the context of today it would be a lot of runs.

Mohammed Shami has been out once every eight balls in Test cricket in the last three years, and averages six.

Ishant Sharma wanders across his stumps and nudges James Anderson's last ball into the leg side for two.

First ball of Ollie Robinson's over and Mohammed Shami drives him uppishly through point for four.

Virat Kohli is sat on the balcony with a huge grin on his face. He's clearly relishing this from India's tail enders.

    Andy Zaltzman

Since the start of the England series in 2018 India's nine, 10 and 11 collectively average 7.3. That is the worse of the Test-playing nations in that time.

James Anderson seems to be keen on strangling Ishant Sharma with a short one down the leg side. Sharma plays at the first two down leg, but leaves the next one.

That is probably the way to go! It was an absolute swipe. Him hanging around isn't going to do India any good but another 20 or 30 runs might.
