Wow. Wow.
KL Rahul c Bairstow b Overton 8 (Ind 34-1)
JONNY BAIRSTOW!!! What a catch!
I was just typing that it was a good, testing over from Craig Overton trying to tempt Rahul into a drive. And that the batter, on eight from 53 balls, was not going to fall for it.
But Overton finds the edge and Jonny Bairstow dives to his left at second slip and plucks the ball out of the air one-handed. An absolute worldie.

Anyone thinking of getting a tattoo on their forehead if Rahul and Rohit pass 78?

There is some swing, but Rohit Sharma plays it comfortably, including a perfectly timed clip off his legs for four when Curran strays onto his pads.
It'll be Sam Curran bowling, so no Moeen Ali yet.
He can usually find swing from nowhere.

Close! KL Rahul nearly drags one on to his stumps, shaping up to play a cut but the ball nipping back in at him.
Craig Overton's over contains just a couple of singles.

Anderson bowling to Root could be good.

It's been a watchful start - which is characteristic of Rohit and Rahul in this series.

Robinson finishes the over with three dot balls. He looks pretty tired and that over wasn't as threatening as his previous ones so I would imagine that's him done.
Moeen Ali on for a couple before lunch, anyone?
Rohit 20, KL Rahul 7
Where's this come from?!
Short from Robinson and Rohit Sharma can't resist, playing an upper cut over the slips for six!

Only once have India made more than 20 runs in the first 10 overs of an innings in this series.

Another edge from Rohit Sharma lands short of slip as he plays it with such soft hands.
There's not been many runs or wickets but it's been a really gripping start.
England thought they had the breakthrough, but a last-gasp review saved KL Rahul.

The first objective for India is to make sure that they are batting tomorrow morning.
That is probably too long, though, so they'll be thinking about getting to lunch, then tea, then close. If they get to there, someone will have got a score.
If they do that again tomorrow and go again, they'll end up at 500.

It's a real battle out there - and Rahul is blinking wide to show the light is not that good. You can feel there's a wicket coming.

Another really decent maiden over from Robinson. He beats KL Rahul's outside edge followed another half appeal for an lbw.
How England haven't got a wicket yet is beyond me - and probably Robinson, too. It's tough work out there for the batters.

This is like England have wheeled out another pitch. There was nothing for India yesterday.
England are getting so much more out of this pitch.
Rohit 12, KL Rahul 6
Overton's first over was a bit loose but this one's bang on the money.
There's a huge appeal for one that completely baffles Rohit Sharma and Buttler takes the catch, but the umpire doesn't think so. Clipping the thigh pad, maybe?
England well on top.
Oh Chris, why would you mention Up? I've never cried so much at a film in my entire life. The first 10 minutes completely broke me.
