Ah that's a handsome shot, it really is. Shot of the day. Moeen at his best.
Shot!
That's not the worst delivery in the world from Umesh Yadav but Moeen Ali punches it off the back foot through extra cover for four.
Beautiful stroke - and scores are level!
A poor delivery from Shardul Thakur was given the treatment by Moeen Ali. A freebie if there ever was one.
There's birthday messages, and there's birthday messages.
Many happy returns to Mohammed Shami, who misses this Test match which falls on his 31st birthday.

The sun is really starting to break out through the clouds now. Wonderful conditions for cricket.
Jasprit Bumrah continues to steam in with that wonderful action of his. He tries a yorker but Moeen Ali jams his bat down in time.
This is the one scare for Moeen Ali this afternoon, leaving Virat Kohli to rue his field placement.

Nick The Unit: England persist with the middle order of Jonny Bairstow, Jos Buttler, Moeen Ali etc all of whom average under 30 and we wonder why we lose so many Tests? Time to look at others like Sam Hain or Tom Abell. How many more chances do we give the current crop?
Ali 14 Pope 61
Shardul Thakur has not looked threatening in this spell.
He is perhaps fortunate to get away with a maiden as Moeen Ali sends a cracking drive straight to cover, before cutting another shot backward of square that again picks out the fielder.
New Zealand narrowly missed out on completing a thrilling run-chase against Bangladesh, to go 2-0 down in the T20 series.
Latham cracked an unbeaten 65 off 49 balls but New Zealand were four runs short of Bangladesh's 141-6.
There are three more T20s to go.

People who have day four tickets will be hoping Ollie Pope can keep on going. I know how you feel - I had day four tickets for Headingley and I was tentatively making other plans after day one.
Jasprit Bumrah continues but Pope stands firm and blocks for a maiden.
If he keeps going like this I reckon you will be OK for Sunday.

Rachel Catherine in Horsham: Nothing frustrates me more as an England fan than how quickly the fans turn on the team when a player loses their wicket. Are England consistent? No. Is this an incredibly entertaining Test series? Yes.
It's getting warmer at The Oval and the sun is battling to break through from behind the clouds as we break for drinks.
Ollie Pope is looking well set here on 61 as England close in on India's first innings total. He needs to go big though you'd think if they are to get a hefty lead.
There is a fragility about both these team's battling line-ups though so you can never be sure what is going to happen next.

Not a great delivery from Thakur. Moeen's thought process was to really go for it.

That was a gift, nicely wrapped with a ribbon on top.
Oof.
Short and wide by Shardul Thakur and that's given the treatment by Moeen Ali, who smashes it away to the cover boundary.
Moeen Ali worked this Ravindra Jadeja delivery around the corner to get off the mark with a boundary.
Ooh, that's loose from Moeen Ali.
He wafts at one outside off stump but it disappears in the gap between second slip and gully. Hands on heads time for India.
Moeen got away with one there.

How about this for a spot? The bar at the top of the new Galadari Stand is like being at a garden party - there's even fake grass on the floor. It's so high, there's a strange sense of silence.
And what about that view? There can't be many better spots to watch cricket from.

Shardul Thakur continues. Moeen Ali hits a lovely shot for no run - it looked four all the way but is denied by a wonderful diving stop by Cheteshwar Pujara at cover.
In a low-scoring match, moments like that can really make a difference.
