An adventurous world: You can indeed play cricket in Vis! This was us a couple of years ago getting in a few overs before a wedding. Groom into bat, made a duck. Thankfully it wasn't an omen as the couple are still together!

How often have we seen that - Pujara hitting the ball in the air?

  3. Ind 103-1published at 40 overs

    Lead by 4

A lovely way to take India to the lead as Cheteshwar Pujara hammers a short ball from Moeen Ali to the boundary.

He completely loses his balance playing it and nearly falls on his stumps. It was an absolute pie from Moeen, it deserved that.

  4. Not outpublished at 12:52 British Summer Time 4 September 2021

Speculative indeed. Absolutely nowhere near the stumps. Rohit got a big stride in there but the spin will encourage Moeen and Joe Root.

    This feels speculative.

  6. England reviewpublished at 12:52 British Summer Time 4 September 2021

Rohit Sharma offers no shot, is struck on the pad and England review when it's given not out on the field. It did spin a bit.

This is Moeen's first bowl of the match.

James Gulleford: I cannot understand why Moeen isn’t getting a bowl. So under-used in this match! Having four right-arm seamers who all have similar pace is poor selection and for set batsmen is easy to face.

It is good to see the mindset and attacking body language from Pujara.

  11. Ind 98-1published at 39 overs

    Trail by 1

Craig Overton comes on for his first bowling effort of the day.

Short, wide and four - help yourself stuff for Pujara and India just one run behind.

  12. Ind 94-1published at 38 overs

    Trail by 5

Nothing loose about that one as Rohit drives beautifully through cover for four, dissecting the two fielders with perfect placement.

In contrasting emotions, Anderson kicks the ground in frustration.

Had Woakes seen that early he may have been able to get there.

  14. Ind 90-1published at 37.2 overs

Close! A loose shot from Rohit Sharma just chipping one up to mid-on but the fielder Chris Woakes doesn't get there - it dropped short and past his diving effort.

  15. Ind 88-1published at 37 overs

    Trail by 11

A confident boundary from Cheteshwar Pujara as he firmly cover drives Robinson for four from the last ball of the over.

I can't remember when the last boundary was, which says a lot about England's consistency so far.

Jack Olsburgh: Another classic example of a sequence of tight overs building up the pressure and then resulting in a wicket shortly after.

There have been just 13 runs in the last 12 overs.

  18. Ind 84-1published at 36 overs

New batter Cheteshwar Pujara gets off the mark with an unconvincing inside edge that just misses the stumps. Anderson has both hands on his head.

Replays of that KL Rahul wicket are still really unclear. He was convinced his bat had hit his pad, and was very unimpressed with the decision.

Refreshers CC: You can play cricket in Croatia. The island of Vis has a club and organises excellent tours, and there’s also a ground in Split - both artificial though sadly.

One more wickets this side of lunch would make things quite interesting. The main India resistance has been the openers in this series.
