Moeen Ali is out early after lunch turning his arm over. He must be eyeing a good bowl this afternoon.

It was good to see Surrey's Amy Gordon, who excelled for Welsh Fire in The Hundred this summer, ring the ball to signal the start of play this morning.

That is right up my street.

We've touched on a few obscure cricketing places this morning. I'm interested in where would be the best for batting/bowling.

I bet it'd swing in the Amazon. There'd be a few roads in the American midwest.

Chris Southwell: Bringing cricket to the Swiss alps in Klosters. The locals are not sure what to make of the net, let alone the bowling machine. But we have started a cricket club called Roggenhorn CC and we have shirts, hats, stickers, scoreboard and a pavilion at the Roggenhorn Oval

This sounds a lot like a less exciting Jarvo. Press boxes are not selfie worthy.

Our press-box selfie-taker has now joined us to eat his lunch. I'll see him in the office canteen next week.

All of the play in the morning session has probably left the India fans happier than England's.

The Bharat Army are in again today. You can watch a bit more on them in the video below. For more of these Cricket Tales head over here.

Rohit Sharma is still there on 47.

If he had any more time he'd be my grandad on a week without hospital appointments.

It could have been better for England but they put down another chance...

Here is the one wicket to fall this morning.

There has been a lot of debate about it but for me it's just out. Agree?

    Thanks Ffion.

Stephan is obsessed with food, isn't he? Never stops.

I asked yesterday if England fans were getting twitchy. I'd guess those are tremors now.

And on that note, I'm off to have my much less appealing lunch of carrot soup that I made about four days ago, forgot about and is probably gone off. Don't be too jealous.

Here's Matthew Henry to take you through the break and the afternoon session.

Lunch-watch. A few chaps of a certain vintage have got a proper set up. Not only do they have a coolbag full of enough sandwiches to feed the entire stand, but they have also cracked open a bottle of red, complete with their own plastic wine glasses. Magnificent.

A good session for India. They lost the wicket of Rahul but it was important to get through the session without losing too many. The dressing room should be happy.

Cheteshwar Pujara comes down the wicket first ball, but a scrambling stop from Anderson at mid-on prevents the run.

Just a single, and that's lunch. A tough morning for England.

Looking at how much Moeen is getting it to turn, England will be quite pleased they won't have to deal with Ravichandran Ashwin in the fourth innings.

Well, that looks a pretty nice place for a game of cricket, doesn't it?

Meanwhile Craig Overton bowls another unthreatening short ball and Rohit Sharma is not missing out on that - he thumps it for four.
