The rain is nothing torrential but there's absolutely no wind at all and it's very cloudy.
Fingers crossed we get nothing heavier.
It's not heavy rain, by any means, but it's enough to delay the start of play.
Crucially, it gives me time to watch RuPaul's Drag Race UK, which started on BBC iPlayer last night, and is possibly my favourite thing on this planet outside of cricket.

Mentally Jonny Bairstow looked very switch - he was calming and controlling the game and he didn't play outside his body.
He's almost playing within his box at the moment - that's what you want in Test cricket. He showed his character, maybe when you're younger you're inexperienced, and now he knows his place, his value and his game. That's what it felt like.
It was really good to see. He's only got two Test matches to make a mark really. Well done to him for owning it, but it's important for him he goes deep down because we won't really be talking about it right now but if he goes big and helps England win the game we might.
There's double Test cricket for you today, with the decisive final Test between Australia and India getting under way in Brisbane.
Keener eyes might have noticed that David Warner fell to the sixth ball of the innings for just one. Which is definitely not funny at all.

It is not pouring it down by any means - and I can see Joe Root inspecting from the player balcony.
We'll keep an eye on it.
Jonny Bairstow and Joe Root have headed back up the stairs to the dressing room.
There was a very pleasing shot of Root talking to Stuart Broad this morning, who was practising hitting sixes with a big swoosh of the bat. If he's not one of your favourite batters then you're doing it wrong.

What an extraordinary day it was yesterday.
If you were in the England dressing room yesterday and Joe Root came back in with his shoulders slumped having lost the toss, you'd have been 'thanks skip' and facing the prospect of two days in the field but then you've bowled them out and you're almost level.
It's just incredible.
Erm...
It's just one cover, for the time being, covering the wicket, but the commentators on the telly are getting a mild soaking.

Morning!
Here's the situation - England trail Sri Lanka by a mere eight runs, Joe Root is, pleasingly, unbeaten on 66, Jonny Bairstow on 47, and it's only day two.
What better way to start off a blockbuster 2021 than with your captain scoring a century in the first Test of the year?
Just another 34 runs to go...
