This is a really important session for England. If you lose a wicket or two here, India can get back on top.

Ishant has bowled really well so far today. He has been really disciplined and given England nothing.
He's only gone for 12 off his 10 overs now, and he almost gets his rewards as Joe Root gets an edge but it bounces just before Rishabh Pant.
Could he come a tad closer? An under edge was also well short in that over. There isn't a great deal of carry in this pitch.
Ishant Sharma is going to get us going after tea.
We've got 33 overs left in the day. Close is meant to be 11:00 GMT, but we can go on till 11:30 GMT. I imagine we'll be fairly close to that later time.

We saw in Sri Lanka that Sibley found his way in the second Test. He has found a method that works, against spinners especially.
There's more Test cricket in Chittagong too with Bangladesh hosting West Indies.
Having amassed 430 in their innings the hosts have just bowled the Windies out for 259 - a deficit of 171.
Stand-in captain Kraigg Brathwaite top scored for the tourists with 76 while Mehedi Hasan, who scored 103 with the bat, took 4-58.
You can follow the score in that one here.
The cricket in Chennai isn't the only Test cricket in town.
South Africa are playing Pakistan in Rawalpindi and the tourists have battled hard on day two of the second Test.
The hosts resumed on 145-3 and are now 250-7 with Faheem Ashraf unbeaten on 66.
Pace bowler Anrich Nortje and spinner Keshav Maharaj have both taken three wickets.
Pakistan won the first Test so South Africa have to win this one.

Thank goodness we stuck with Sibley. Hated reading messages last time round that he should be dropped. He is a good young opener really showing some mental toughness. We should stick with young players and build back to a strong test team for the future!
Lauren from Oldham
Thanks Matt.
England will be pretty happy with their day's work so far. They need to build on it in the final session now.
Right then. I'm off to find some brekkie. It has been a pleasure. Can England do the same again? Callum Matthews will expertly take you to the close.

England will be delighted. Skipper is looking in good form and Dom Sibley looks assured. More of the same for the third session. If they don't lose another wicket, things are starting to look good. Even if they lose one more wicket, they'll be happy.
Beautifully poised on day one.
73 runs added. No wickets lost. Absolutely England's session.
Sibley 53, Root 45
A perfect session for England.
Three balls to go in the session...

This is good from England. That said it looks a track and India will score plenty too. England need to stay out there as long as possible and grind India down. It's the only way to be successful out there.

Sibley 53, Root 44
The eagle-eyed third umpire has spotted another no-ball. Every little helps as far as England are concerned.

It looks like India are going to bowl their seamers just before the end and start of each session. It's a nice little ploy.
I'm happy for you, Chris. The vaccine in the bag and a few days watching the cricket. Ideal.
Ishant draws the first false shot in a long time. He finds movement into Sibley and the tentative England opener is beaten.
Ishant hasn't bowled a bad ball all day.

Sitting in the waiting area for my first jab and following via the BBC Sport app, England 128-2. Just been told I should take it easy for a few days presumably watching the cricket. Can life get any better?

Ishant Shrma is back. Tea is in five minutes.
Excellent story and, more importantly, I now want to know if Richard is the only person reading this with a Wikipedia page.
