Even Siraj is batting like Viv Richards now. India are having some day.

Ruth Brooksbank: Especially in these strange times, it's fantastic to hear a live cricket crowd cheering for their hero. Well played Ravi Ashwin.

Chris Jones: Brilliant knock from Ashwin. How good is it to hear proper crowd roar again! Strangly emotional.

A five-fer with the ball and now a hundred with the bat. Ashwin may now have snatched the player-of-the-match award from Rohit Sharma.

    It's his fifth hundred.

Ashwin decided to go whole hog, came down the wicket and it went over Ben Stokes' head! Well played. He started off tentatively and once he got going, he hasn't stopped. A great knock.

100 for Ashwinpublished at 82 overs

Ravichandran Ashwin gets his hundred on his home ground! He has been dropped three times but on this pitch it's a fine knock.

It comes with a lucky edge over slip. Ashwin doesn't care. Neither do his team-mates or the crowd. Delirium.

Into the stands! Ashwin has smoked that. They're on their feet in the stands. Their hero is on 97.

  10. Ind 252-9published at 81.1 overs

Dozy from England. Siraj gets off strike straight away. He was too busy admiring his defensive shot to set off but still made his ground.

Playing for Stoneygate CC we travelled for a favourite fixture at Great Easton to find the game called off as the landowner had literally ploughed up the square with his tractor following a dispute with the club.

Moeen is going to continue. He has 4-85.

  13. Ind 251-9published at 81 overs

    Ashwin 91, Siraj 0

Into the 90s Ashwin goes with a cut. The new ball is bouncing more for Leach but India' number eight plays the shot nicely. He fails to get the strike from the final ball, however.

Olly Stone on for some yorkers and bouncers at Siraj?

    Ind 247-9published at 80 overs

    Ashwin 87, Siraj 0

Four balls successfully survived by Siraj, each one of them loudly celebrated. How does a number 11 feel in this situation? Do they like the fact just not getting out is seen as such an achievement?

England have taken the second new ball straight away.

  17. Ind 247-9published at 79.3 overs

Time for Ashwin to get nervous again. He only gets one where he thought there was two. He's trying to coach his less experienced partner through from the other end.

Those few overs at the end of the day always feel worse than they are. Rory Burns knows it's coming soon and he just wants to get out there and get it over with.

    Lead by 441

This must be painful for Ashwin watching Siraj tentatively plonk forward and be beaten. Leach does everything but get him out.

A cheer loud enough to signify a six comes at the end of the over. Back over to the home hero.

I was watching Surrey vs Glamorgan T20 when a fox ran on to the outfield and despite various fielders and both batsmen trying to shoo it off, did a large poo on the field. There was a short delay while the groundsman had to come on and shovel it up, and he carried it off on the shovel to rapturous applause and cheers from the crowd!
