This is poised beautifully for Stokes to win this with Olly Stone at the other end on 1* tomorrow evening.

There were great scenes when Ravichandran Ashwin reached his hundred on his home ground. He came in at 106-6 in the morning session remember.

There were a lot of bad balls bowled. England didn't make India work hard enough.

Burns scored 33 in the first innings of the first Test and has followed that with two ducks and today's 25.

Zak Crawley is lurking in the wings and should be fit for the third Test. He is a potential replacement for Burns at the top or Lawrence at three. There's Jonny Bairstow in the mix too.

I'm just looking at the Burns dismissal again and our friends at BCCI TV will point to that as an example of what our batsmen are doing differently on this pitch. And they'll have a point - it's a poor shot from an opening batsman.

It's not been a good week for the England team but at the end of it, take a day or two to have a breather and then realise that they're 1-1 in a four-match series. If you'd have told me that going into that pink ball Test it would be 1-1, I'd have laughed.

All the talk during this match has been around the difficulty of the pitch. Ravichandran Ashwin went and hit a hundred at number eight for India as if to prove a point.

There's not a great deal of positives England can take. They've just got to try and bat as long as possible and hope one or two individuals get decent scores.

As much as it looked out, I'm not sure what Kohli was complaining to the umpire about. If anything he should be complaining to the people operating the ball-tracking. Once it came up as umpire's call there was nothing that could be done.

The DRS in cricket is the same as VAR in the weekend Premier League... absolutely shocking, Root was clearly out.

I think Virat Kohli goes looking for that. He needs that in his game. India like to think people are against them, they like the confrontation. It's danger time for the England team.

England are lucky to only be three down, frankly.

It has been a long, hard day for England. It started so well when they took five wickets in the first session but soon started going badly wrong.

Ravichandran Ashwin was dropped three times on his way to a hundred and England lost three wickets late in the day.

Stay with us for analysis and reaction.

Virat Kohli and Ravi Shastri should both be in the referee's room for that, but I don't think it will happen.

Kohli is still having a word as his team-mates leave the field. Yes, it looked out but I'm not sure what he is complaining about.

Anyway, India are going to win this match tomorrow.

Virat Kohli's having a real go at the umpire. You can't have this, I'm sorry. Kohli is such a powerhouse, you can't have him intimidating the umpire. It's a stinker of a decision but you can't be doing that as a captain. That's a bad look.
