Stokes lets his first four balls go.

Mike Peter is back for another stint. Between you and me, I doubt he makes a good lasagne.

All these white sauce tips and nobody has said to put the secret ingredient in yet... a good grating of fresh nutmeg. Doesn't matter if it's lumpy in a lasagne!

Stop talking about white sauce and concentrate on the cricket. You're not funny, you're not clever and you're boring!

Roy and Bairstow scored 135 runs from 86 balls in that opening partnership. Brilliant hitting.

Ben Stokes is in this new position of number three because of Joe Root's absence.

Boy did India need this. Jason Roy swings hard once too often and hits the ball to backward point. Sub fielder Suryakumar Yadav spills the first attempt but replays show he has gathered the ball on the second just fine.

Kohli has a chance to talk to his troops.

    Tell me about it.

It's a boundary a ball at the moment. India don't seem to have a way of stopping the runs. Roy now back-foot drives for four.

Bairstow has bashed the required run-rate down to 5.19. England could cruise this if they wanted.

This is getting silly now, Jonny.

Kohli moves his fielders but Bairstow just whips the ball into another gap. It's six again! He has 74 runs from 47 balls.

Many may disagree with me but I think Jonny Bairstow gets way too much stick. Yes he frustrates in Test cricket but he's one of England's all-time greats in white-ball cricket.

And to prove my point he plays the most exquisite flick off Krunal Pandya. He's timed that so well it has gone all the way.

I hope Fred Trueman's not watching this game - he'd be chuntering about fielders throwing themselves around and injuring their shoulders.

This is a vintage ODI batting performance for England so far. We’ve clearly forgotten how good they are in this format!
