    They've finally managed to break Derbyshire's stubborn sixth-wicket partnership with the wicket of Matt Critchley.

    Liam Norwell got one to skid back on him for a leg before decision to end that partnership of 113 and dismiss Critchley for a fine 83.

    Derbyshire now 184-6, a lead of 152 as Harvey Hosein continues on 49.

    At Chelmsford, it's all about Jake Libby still and his pursuit of a career-best score.

    He needs 185 to do so and is now 171 not out as the Pears marathon effort continues on 431-8 in reply to Essex's 490-9 dec.
