  1. Postpublished at 17:53 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Lancashire 244-8 v Northamptonshire

Ooof, harsh on Lancashire batsman Luke Wood who pulls a short one onto his own stumps.

But it's definitely a deserved first wicket of the match for Ben Sanderson who's bowled well all day.

We've got fewer than eight overs remaining at Old Trafford now.

  2. Postpublished at 17:49 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Nottinghamshire 246-8 v Warwickshire

Unsurprisingly, Warwickshire have taken the new ball.

They've got to find a way of removing Liam Patterson-White who has reached a career-best 60 not out.

  3. 300 runs

300 up for Somersetpublished at 17:46 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Somerset 300-8 v Gloucestershire

When Steven Davies fell at 264-8 and with the second new ball only four overs old getting the third batting point looked a tricky ask.

But Somerset have got there with a bit of room to spare, with Marchant de Lange's 21-ball 30 steering them beyond 300.

  4. Postpublished at 17:46 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Kent v Yorkshire 305-8

Yorkshire are now down to eight as Darren Stevens has Jordan Thompson nicking behind with keeper Ollie Robinson taking his fifth catch on the day.

David Willey (1 not out) and Steven Patterson (6 not out) have just sneaked Yorkshire past the 300 mark, collecting a third batting point.

We've got 13 overs left in Kent.

  5. Postpublished at 17:40 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Lancashire 236-6 v Northamptonshire

Fewer than 11 overs remain at Old Trafford, credit to Northamptonshire we've raced along in Manchester today.

Luke Wood is farming the strike at the moment for the hosts, he's on 22 not out.

Tom Bailey (nine) is the man at the other end.

  6. Postpublished at 17:37 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Surrey v Leicestershire 151-2

They're back out once more at The Oval with 26 overs remaining in the day.

Going at Test match over-rates, they should finish about 19:30 BST!

  7. Postpublished at 17:35 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Kent v Yorkshire 292-7

Has 44-year-old Darren Stevens rescued Kent yet again?

The all-rounder traps England's Dom Bess for 36, breaking up a 50-run partnership.

David Willey's the new man in. Will he play defensive or start swinging?

  8. Postpublished at 17:32 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Essex 96 v Durham 98-2

Durham have already reached Essex's first-innings score although they have just lost another wicket with Will Young caught off the bowling of Simon Harmer.

Durham skipper Scott Borthwick has been brilliant batting at number three so far. He's already reached 65 off just 75 deliveries. He's only 31 short of Essex's total.

  9. Postpublished at 17:29 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Glamorgan 285 v Sussex 0-0

Here we go. A change of innings and Sussex openers Aaron Thomason and Tom Haines walk to the crease.

Around 23 overs left in the day at Cardiff I make it.

  10. 'New ball doing more than the old one'published at 17:27 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Somerset 274-8 v Gloucestershire

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

Batting looking much more difficult since tea, with three Somerset wickets going down, including those of Craig Overton, who made a measured 54, and Steven Davies, who chopped a ball from David Payne onto his stumps, having contributed a hugely valuable 87.

New ball doing more than the old one in the hands of Payne and the ever-effective Ryan Higgins.

  11. Postpublished at 17:26 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

And as the Bears struggle to get their final two wickets, Warwickshire and England bowler Chris Woakes has just removed Jos Buttler in the IPL.

You can listen to coverage of Rajasthan Royals chasing 148 against Delhi Capitals right here.

  12. Postpublished at 17:24 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Nottinghamshire 235-8 v Warwickshire

Nottinghamshire's tail is wagging as Liam Patterson-White reaches only his second first-class 50.

It's been slow going at times but the hosts are starting to build on their early patience.

  13. Postpublished at 17:21 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Derbyshire 301-4 v Worcestershire

It's now 300 up for Derbyshire as Matthew Critchley continues his fine form on 89 not out.

Harvey Hosein has been a brilliant supporting act on 40 not out as the pair continue to build their fifth-wicket partnership which now stands at 84.

Worcestershire need wickets and they need them fast.

  14. Postpublished at 17:19 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Somerset 268-8 v Gloucestershire

    The key wicket!

Steven Davies is bowled by David Payne for 87 and Somerset will do well to snaffle that third batting point from here.

  15. wicket

Glamorgan 285 all outpublished at 17:14 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

And that's that. Michael Hogan is stumped by Ben Brown off the bowling of Jack Carson.

Glamorgan number five Kiran Carlson finishes with a superb 127 not out.

There's about 20 overs still left in the day.

  16. Bad light stops playpublished at 17:13 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Surrey v Leicestershire 151-2

They're off for bad light at The Oval for the third time today.

Since our last update, Jordan Clark had Harry Dearden caught behind by England's Ben Foakes for 14.

  17. Postpublished at 17:12 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Glamorgan 285-9 v Sussex

Glamorgan are now nine down as Dan Douthwaite (36) Timm van der Gugten (5) and James Weighell (0) all go in quick succession.

Kiran Carlson remains at the crease on 127, shepherding the strike with number 11 Michael Hogan at the other end.

  18. Postpublished at 17:09 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Hampshire 225-7 v Middlesex

Hampshire v MiddlesexImage source, Getty Images

Martin Andersson saw off James Vince earlier in the innings and now he's got rid of Sam Northeast too.

Northeast was going along really nice, reaching 63 off 111 deliveries, but his dismissal has left Hampshire 225-7.

  19. Postpublished at 17:07 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Essex 96 v Durham 54-1

The 50 comes up for Durham and they're now just 42 runs behind Essex's first innings total with nine wickets in hand.

I'm starting to think batting on this Chelmsford pitch isn't as difficult as Essex made it seem. Will Young (20) and Scott Borthwick (25) have looked unfazed so far.

  20. Postpublished at 17:03 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Lancashire 212-6 v Northamptonshire

Speaking of quick wickets, Simon Kerrigan has just removed Dane Vilas (26) and Rob Jones (13) in consecutive overs.

It's well deserved for Kerrigan, who has bowled a mammoth 25 overs today.

Two new men are at the crease and Northamptonshire have brought the field in to ramp up the pressure.
