  1. Postpublished at 14:55 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Glamorgan 179-6 v Sussex

Another Sussex wicket and another scalp for Ollie Robinson.

The 27-year-old has figures of 4-37 after removing Callum Taylor for three.

Sussex are right back in this fixture although Glamorgan's Kiran Carlson still remains at the crease on 66 not out.

  2. Play resumes at Chelmsfordpublished at 14:49 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Essex 82-8 v Durham

There's a gap in the clouds and the players return.

    Will Essex make three figures?

    Nottinghamshire 105-5 v Warwickshire

Partnership broken. Steven Mullaney goes thanks to a sensational catch from Hanuma Vihari.

The Nottinghamshire captain chips a routine Will Rhodes delivery to mid-wicket where Vihari makes a stunning grab running backwards.

Great cricket all round as Mullaney departs for 31.

  4. Postpublished at 14:40 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Nottinghamshire 104-4 v Warwickshire

Nottinghamshire are going on the attack with Steven Mullaney and Joe Clark stepping up a gear.

The hosts have finally ticked past 100 after 40 overs, but we are starting to see the run rate significantly increase.

I think it's time for the Bears to make a bowling change.

  5. Postpublished at 14:38 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Hampshire 133-3 v Middlesex

Ian Holland's afternoon is over. He's caught by Sam Robson off Toby Roland-Jones for 64.

James Vince is the next man in, batting at number five.

  6. Postpublished at 14:37 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Glamorgan 169-5 v Sussex

Every time Glamorgan think they're about to get away, Sussex bounce back with another wicket.

Minutes after Kiran Carlson brings up a fine half century, his partner Chris Cooke is trapped lbw for 13 by Ollie Robinson.

That's Robinson's third wicket of the day, having conceded just 32 runs from 11 overs.

    An intriguing game in Wales.

  7. Postpublished at 14:29 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Derbyshire 155-3 v Worcestershire

Worcestershire have taken some of the momentum away from Derbyshire with with another quick wicket.

New man Wayne Madsen edges to slip Daryl Mitchell off the bowling of Dillon Pennington to fall for one.

It's still Derbyshire's match, but they're not scoring as freely as they once did.

  8. Postpublished at 14:23 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Nottinghamshire 94-4 v Warwickshire

Nottinghamshire captain Steven Mullaney is leading by example, striking a couple of boundaries to move to 24 not out.

His 31-run partnership with Joe Clarke (15 not out) is the highest the hosts have made so far.

Warwickshire are still in control but their opponents are fighting back.

  9. wicket

    Kent v Yorkshire 150-4

Three away, Adam Lyth feathers one behind to Ollie Robinson who takes his fourth catch of the innings.

So frustrating for the former England opener, he never looked in danger.

With two quick wickets Kent have dragged themselves back into this game.

  10. Postpublished at 14:16 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Kent v Yorkshire 150-3

Meanwhile in Canterbury, Yorkshire opener Adam Lyth is now on 97 not out.

  11. Postpublished at 14:16 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Hampshire 110-2 v Middlesex

Ian Holland passed 1,000 first-class runs during the morning session and now he's brought up his half-century, too.

It's been fairly patient stuff from the 30-year-old, he's on 51 from 122 balls.

But it's not all gone Hampshire's way since lunch, with Steven Finn removing Tom Alsop for 19.

    Essex 81-8 v Durham

    Not just rain, hail.

Essex could do with a break and a reset. Durham have blown them away in Chelmsford.

Expect this delay to last a while.

  13. Postpublished at 14:10 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Somerset 114-5 v Gloucestershire

BBC Radio Somerset's Anthony Gibson described Gloucestershire's morning as having "chipped away" at Somerset - and the chipping has continued since lunch.

George Bartlett is the latest batsman to fall, being trapped in front by Ryan Higgins. It means that four of Somerset's top five have got starts but none of them have been able to go on.

  14. Postpublished at 14:07 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Derbyshire 141-2 v Worcestershire

Ah, my first curse of the commentator this County Championship season. 'Composed' Godleman has just been caught behind by Ben Cox off the bowling of Joe Leach.

He falls for 50 from 94 balls, having struck seven fours.

  15. Postpublished at 14:06 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Derbyshire 141-1 v Worcestershire

Derbyshire captain Billy Godleman reaches a composed 50 off 93 balls.

It's been his side's day so far. Alongside number three Leus du Plooy the pair have put on 137 after Luis Reece fell in the first over.

  16. wicket

WICKET Root (b Milnes c Robinson) 11published at 13:59 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Kent v Yorkshire 143-3

    Joe RootImage source, Getty Images

Looks like we won't be seeing a Joe Root masterclass in Kent today.

The England skipper nicks behind to Ollie Robinson who comfortably takes his third catch of the day.

Yorkshire bat deep, but this is definitely a blow.

  17. Postpublished at 13:58 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Glamorgan 133-4 v Sussex

A big wicket for Sussex straight after lunch as David Lloyd is out for 84, caught at second slip by George Garton off the bowling of Henry Crocombe.

They've got the man they wanted, now can Sussex push on?

  18. Postpublished at 13:56 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Essex 76-8 v Durham

Oh dear Essex. Simon Harmer is the latest to go, edging behind off Ben Raine without scoring.

Be honest, who saw an Essex collapse coming at 10:55 this morning? I certainly didn't.

  19. Bad light stops playpublished at 13:53 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Surrey v Leicestershire 86-0

It's nearly 2pm on a Thursday afternoon in mid-April. So of course they're going off for bad light at The Oval.

At least it's not started snowing anywhere. Yet.

  20. We're backpublished at 13:49 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

And we're also under way for the afternoon session in the rest of our County Championship fixtures.

Games can't be won at this stage, but they can be lost.
