It's in the balance at Canterbury.
Lancashire 173-4 v Northamptonshire
Scott Read
BBC Radio Lancashire
A clenched fist, a beaming smile and plenty of back slapping from his team-mates.
Simon Kerrigan, playing at Emirates Old Trafford for the first since leaving Lancashire, dismissed Josh Bohannon on 68 towards the end of the afternoon session. A moment he understandably enjoyed.
The ball before the wicket bounced and turned and may have played its part in the dismissal as his very next delivery hit Bohannon’s pad and Kerrigan celebrated. Had there been a crowd inside the ground even the home supporters would have applauded.
Lancashire 173-4 v Northamptonshire
Lancashire will be the happier of the two sides as the afternoon session comes to an end.
But that late wicket to Josh Bohannon (68) will be so frustrating.
Nottinghamshire 176-6 v Warwickshire
It's tea in Nottinghamshire and I'd say that's the hosts' session.
The Green and Golds added 100 runs and lost two wickets to frustrate Warwickshire who had edged the morning's play.
Somerset 222-5 v Gloucestershire
If the morning belonged to Gloucestershire, the afternoon has belonged to Somerset.
Steven Davies and Craig Overton have shared an unbroken stand of 112 to drag the hosts back into the match at Taunton.
Kent v Yorkshire 219-5
Breakthrough for Kent as Miguel Cummins traps Harry Brook lbw.
A lovely cameo from Brook comes to an end, with the batsman making 54 from 80. England spinner Dom Bess is the new man in.
Surrey v Leicestershire 112-0
And now they're off at The Oval again! That'll be tea.
Essex 96 v Durham 11-1
Exactly the start Essex needed as Sam Cook forces Alex Lees to edge behind for five.
That's First-class wicket number 100 for Cook.
He and fellow quick Jamie Porter have the new ball swinging wildly in Chelmsford.
Derbyshire 217-4 v Worcestershire
Another batsman falls just short of his century as Brett D'Oliveira bowls Leus du Plooy.
A sad way to end a brilliant knock from the South African, who departs for 98 off 170 balls.
Harvey Hosein joins Matthew Crithcley in the middle, who is on 45 not out.
Surrey v Leicestershire 108-0
Hassan Azad and Sam Evans have both now passed fifty as Leicestershire continue to dominate at The Oval.
They're onto 108-0.
Somerset 211-5 v Gloucestershire
Steven Davies looks in terrific touch here, first driving through the covers and then clipping serenely off his legs for two fours in the space of three balls.
Davies (64 not out) and Craig Overton (43 not out) have also brought up the 100 partnership.
Lancashire 160-3 v Northamptonshire
A patient knock so far from Lancashire's Josh Bohannon who also reaches his 50 off 147 balls.
Northamptonshire have bowled so economically and will be pleased despite only taking three wickets. The Lancashire batsman aren't being offered any freebies and are really having to work for every one of their runs.
Kent v Yorkshire 213-4
Yorkshire's Harry Brook has just reached a brilliant 50 off 72 balls.
Kent need wickets and they need them fast. The visitors have looked the better of the two sides all day.
Surrey v Leicestershire 92-0
They're back under way at The Oval, by the way, after that earlier delay for bad light and rain.
Hassan Azad (48 not out) and Sam Evans (40 not out) have been going along very nicely so far.
Sam Cook is caught by David Bedingham off the bowling of Brydon Carse and Essex are all out.
It's their lowest ever score against Durham.
Can their bowlers pull off a miracle and rescue this match?
Somerset 189-5 v Gloucestershire
How often are Somerset rescued by their lower order?!
It's been a superb counter-attacking partnership from Steven Davies and Craig Overton, who've rebuilt from 110-5 and are gradually edging their side to a score to bowl at.
Davies has just brought up his half-century, including eight fours and one six, while Overton is there with him unbeaten on 39.
Derbyshire 196-4 v Worcestershire
Another player has entered the nervous 90s.
Derbyshire's Leus du Plooy is on 94 from 152 deliveries.
The South African hasn't put a foot wrong so far as Derbyshire race towards 200.
Hampshire 156-4 v Middlesex
Kevin Hand
BBC Radio London
Middlesex have taken a couple of key wickets to start to pressure Hampshire's sold start - in particular removing last week's top scorer James Vince.
On that back of that 231 at Leicestershire, the right handed arrived in the middle with his side having made a studious start to keep the persistent visiting attack at bay.
The pitch is a fraction on the slow side but there is seam movement with a generous grass cover left on and Hampshire have been clear in the shot selection and judgement.
However, the removal of opener Ian Holland, at second slip, paired the big named middle order of Sam Northeast and Vince - only for Martin Andersson to have the latter snared at slip.
One of last week's other centurions, Liam Dawson, comes out with a solid foundation still there but equally a chance for a seam attack, that have shared the wickets so far, to drive home the pressure.
Essex 89-9 v Durham
Essex are nine down.
Ben Allison is the latest to go, caught by keeper Stuart Poynter off the bowling of Chris Rushworth.
Not a great day one for the County Championship holders.
Nottinghamshire 119-6 v Warwickshire
Fantastic pace from England international Olly Stone to remove Joe Clarke for 29.
A bouncer catches out Clarke who top-edges it to keeper Michael Burgess.
It's advantage Warwickshire with new men Tom Moores and Liam Patterson-White both at the crease yet to get off the mark.
