    Glamorgan 113-3 v Sussex

What a knock from David Lloyd, who is now on 66 from 72 deliveries.

He's single-handedly dragged Glamorgan back into contention. Remember the Welsh county were 23-3 at one stage.

    Sussex need another wicket.

    Somerset 80-4 v Gloucestershire

And there's the fourth wicket before lunch we speculated about!

James Hildreth was just starting to find some rhythm but has been superbly caught by Tom Lace at square leg off the bowling of Matt Taylor for 17.

Somerset are four down in Taunton.

No drama. Adam Lyth hits a four to move to 76 not out.

    Derbyshire 92-1 v Worcestershire

One team who've most definitely had a good morning is Derbyshire.

Since Luis Reece fell in the first first over the Worcestershire bowlers have not had an easy time of it, with Leus du Plooy recently bringing up his half-century from 78 balls.

Billy Godleman is there with him unbeaten on 27.

    Somerset 79-3 v Gloucestershire

Gloucestershire have just about struck regularly enough to justify their decision to put Somerset in this morning.

Captain Tom Abell is the latest to fall for 26, trapped in front by Matt Taylor, and the hosts are 73-3.

I think Gloucestershire will be marginally the happier at lunch - although another wicket between now and then will swing the momentum very much in their favour.

    Kent v Yorkshire 101-1

Yorkshire become the first of our sides to cross three figures.

Adam Lyth in sitting pretty on 62 from 69 made while Tom Loten is looking good on 24 from 57.

We've had two maidens in 23 overs. Oh, and Joe Root's the next man in. Great news for the white rose county. Kent need some wickets.

    Lancashire 75-1 v Northamptonshire

Three consecutive boundaries and Alex Davies has his 50.

A classy knock from the Lancashire opener, reaching his half century from 58 balls with seven fours.

    Advantage Lancashire I'd say.

    Nottinghamshire 44-3 v Warwickshire

    A double blow!

Just as Haseeb Hameed and Ben Duckett were beginning to look really settled both have fallen in the space of five balls.

Will Rhodes and Tim Bresnan are the men to do the damage and Nottinghamshire are now 44-3.

    Essex 50-5 v Durham

Dan Lawrence is going along quite nicely, now on 23 from 39 balls, including three boundaries.

And it's just as well, too, considering no other Essex batsman has yet reached double figures.

    Essex 48-5 v Durham

Last week Essex declared their first innings against Worcestershire here on 490. That included 213 from Tom Westley. Today he went for four, edging former Essex bowler Matt Salisbury to the keeper in the fourth over.

By that point Nick Browne had already been back in the pavilion for a few minutes after losing his off-stump to the third delivery of the day from Chris Rushworth. He went for none.

Rushworth then claimed the wicket of Alastair Cook in the seventh over for six, to a ball which struck his pads.

Under grey skies Durham continued to prosper at a chilly Chelmsford with Brydon Carse striking twice in his first over.

His first ball seemed to take Paul Walter by surprise, simply because of the extra pace. He chopped onto the stumps on seven and Ryan Ten Doeschate then fell three deliveries later for four, as he clipped a ball to third slip while trying to duck out of the road of a bouncer. It struck the back of his bat.

This is Durham's first championship visit to Chelmsford since a draw in 2010. They have only beaten Essex once on the road and that was in their first visit back in 1993.

Essex may well be regretting the decision to bat. Will there be a rear-guard action?

    Nottinghamshire 43-1 v Warwickshire

Haseeb Hameed (19 not out) and Ben Duckett (16 not out) are going along nicely for Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge.

Ben Slater is the only man to fall so far, dismissed by England pace bowler Olly Stone for five.

    Lancashire 51-1 v Northamptonshire

Lancashire have strolled past 50 with Alex Davies (31 not out) making the lion's share of the runs.

And new man in Josh Bohannon has reached nine meaning he's now collected over 1,000 First-class runs.

The hosts are looking comfortable right now.

Wickets tumbling at Chelmsford!published at 12:03 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Essex 36-5 v Durham

This has been a really poor opening hour for the hosts at Chelmsford, with Paul Walter (seven) and Ryan ten Doeschate (four) both dismissed by Brydon Carse in the same over to plunge them into further difficulty.

Will Essex rue choosing to bat first having won the toss?

50 for Adam Lythpublished at 12:00 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Kent v Yorkshire 86-1

What a first hour from Yorkshire and opener Adam Lyth has a deserved half century from 43 balls.

Hasn't looked troubled at all this morning.

  16. Postpublished at 11:56 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Lancashire 44-1 v Northamptonshire

A brilliant out-swinger from Tom Taylor and Lancashire opener Keaton Jennings nicks it behind.

Northamptonshire needed that wicket. Along with Alex Davies, 27 from 39 balls, the pair were building a handy opening partnership.

    Jennings falls for 13.

  17. Postpublished at 11:54 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Hampshire 26-1 v Middlesex

Speaking of toiling, it's been pretty similar stuff down in Southampton - although, just as I type, Ethan Bamber has now been rewarded!

He has Joe Weatherley caught behind and Hampshire are 26-1 after 13 overs against Middlesex, with Ian Holland on nine from 40 deliveries.

  18. Postpublished at 11:47 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Surrey v Leicestershire 23-0

The Surrey opening bowlers, Kemar Roach and Matt Dunn, have really toiled in the opening 45 minutes against Leicestershire but are still to make a breakthrough.

Hassan Azad has made just five from 29 deliveries so far, while Sam Evans is with him on 16.

  19. Postpublished at 11:45 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Somerset 43-2 v Gloucestershire

A huge breakthrough for Gloucestershire - and a really unlucky one for Tom Banton and Somerset.

The England white-ball player plays a forward defensive to David Payne but it somehow sneaks between bat and pad and, despite getting plenty on it, it trickles towards the stumps and dislodges a bail.

James Hildreth joins Tom Abell in the middle.
