    Lancashire 305 v Northamptonshire 87-8

Not this time. Blocked by Simon Kerrigan.

First Bailey had Tom Taylor's off stump cartwheeling, then he pinned Nathan Buck leg before.

Northamptonshire still trail by 214 runs.

  2. Postpublished at 15:10 British Summer Time 16 April 2021

    Lancashire 305 v Northamptonshire 87-8

Lancashire's Tom Bailey becomes the third player today to have a hat-trick chance after successive wickets.

Can he make it two from three?

  3. Postpublished at 15:06 British Summer Time 16 April 2021

    Hampshire 319 v Middlesex 75-8

By contrast, Middlesex's reply has been anything but solid.

John Simpson has just fallen for 16 - this time Brad Wheal getting in on the act - and they're still trailing by 244.

Will they be made to follow on?

  4. Postpublished at 15:04 British Summer Time 16 April 2021

    Surrey 29-0 v Leicestershire 375

Surrey have made a very solid start to their reply to Leicestershire's 375 all out, perhaps further confirming how good this pitch at The Oval is.

Rory Burns is not out on nine, while opening partner Mark Stoneman is there with him on 20.

  5. Postpublished at 14:56 British Summer Time 16 April 2021

    Lancashire 305 v Northamptonshire 74-6

Wickets are tumbling at Old Trafford now. First Matthew Parkinson gets his second of the session, removing Saif Zaib for four.

Then Tom Bailey gets in on the act, trapping Rob Keogh leg before for 29.

Two new men in and Northamptonshire are in a spot of bother.

  6. Postpublished at 14:54 British Summer Time 16 April 2021

    Somerset 312 v Gloucestershire 150-4

It's still steady progress for Gloucestershire at Taunton, where James Bracey has just reached his half-century.

He's unbeaten on 51, with Ryan Higgins for company on 13 after Craig Overton dismissed Graeme van Buuren earlier in the session.

  7. Postpublished at 14:49 British Summer Time 16 April 2021

    Derbyshire 390 v Worcestershire 76-3

And there's also been a superb caught and bowled from Derbyshire's Matthew Critchley.

The all-rounder dived to his left to remove Gareth Roderick.

Brett D'Oliveira joins Tom Fell (44 not out) in the middle.

  8. Postpublished at 14:47 British Summer Time 16 April 2021

    Lancashire 305 v Northamptonshire 73-4

More joy for Lancashire as Luke Procter attempts to go big but finds Josh Bohannon in the deep.

Not the greatest delivery from Matthew Parkinson but it's got him his first wicket.

  9. Postpublished at 14:45 British Summer Time 16 April 2021

    Glamorgan 285 v Sussex 269-5

Another breakthrough for Glamorgan as Callum Taylor traps Delray Rawlins for two.

Sussex are 16 runs behind with five wickets remaining. A few more dismissals and things could get interesting with the visitors batting last.

  10. Postpublished at 14:38 British Summer Time 16 April 2021

    Kent 100-5 v Yorkshire 379

Is it going to be another one of those days for 44-year-old Stevens I wonder? Kent will be hoping so.

  11. Postpublished at 14:35 British Summer Time 16 April 2021

    Glamorgan 285 v Sussex 254-4

A great over for Glamorgan though who were looking out of it at 254-2.

It just goes to show what a difference a couple of wickets can make to the look of a scorecard.

Sussex's Stiaan van Zyl is still not out by the way. He's now on 72.

  12. Postpublished at 14:32 British Summer Time 16 April 2021

    Glamorgan 285 v Sussex 254-4

    Not quite. Delray Rawlins survives.

  14. Postpublished at 14:30 British Summer Time 16 April 2021

    Lancashire 305 v Northamptonshire 50-3

Not what Northamptonshire would have wanted as opener Ricardo Vasconcelos departs for 15 off the bowling of Luke Wood.

The game's in the balance at Old Trafford. This next hour feels crucial.

    Essex 96 & 19-2 v Durham 259

    Alastair Cook departs!

Not a great shot from England's leading run scorer as he's caught at mid-wicket by Jack Burnham off the bowling of Matthew Salisbury.

Essex still need another 144 just make Durham bat again.

  18. Postpublished at 14:17 British Summer Time 16 April 2021

    Kent 86-5 v Yorkshire 379

Things aren't looking good for Kent as Jordan Cox is the latest to go, trapped leg before by Steven Patterson for 38.

Darren Stevens is the new man in. The hosts need their experienced all-rounder to put in yet another man of the match performance.

Alastair: Now Kyle Abbott getting into the act. Glorious from Hants so far. Got to be one of the best bowling attacks out there in domestic cricket. Big season incoming?

  20. Sibley fractures fingerpublished at 14:08 British Summer Time 16 April 2021
    Breaking

    Nottinghamshire 273 v Warwickshire 129-4

England international Dom Sibley hasn't batted for Warwickshire yet.

In a statement the county said: "We can confirm Sibley has a fracture to the second finger of his right hand following an X-ray.

"Sibley is being regularly assessed and his contribution to the remainder of the game will be determined by the level of discomfort that the player is experiencing and the medical team."

One to keep an eye on.
