    Northants v Sussex 42-7

Sussex aren't going to be out for a stupidly low score now, but they're still in all sorts of trouble at The County Ground.

    Yorkshire v Kent 66-3

Yorkshire have just picked up a third wicket at Headingley - Jordan Thompson had Joe Denly caught at slip.

Zak Crawley could well be the key for Kent. The England batsman is on 38.

    Walter lbw b Broad 0 (Nottinghamshire v Essex 62-4)

Stuart Broad picks up his second wicket of the morning and another one of his trademark celeb-appeals comes with it!

And you can't blame him either on this occasion as he has Paul Walter absolutely plumb leg before to a ball that nips back to the left-hander and has him stuck on his crease without scoring.

Essex 62-4 now and up against it.

  6. 'Bears look comfortable'published at 12:44 British Summer Time 6 May 2021

    Warwickshire 90-1 v Worcs

    Dan Wheeler
BBC Hereford & Worcester at Edgbaston

After winning the toss and sticking Warwickshire in, Worcestershire captain Joe Leach would've been hoping for more reward.

And with the cheery overhead conditions the visitors know how crucial snaffling every chance is, so when Daryl Mitchell at second slip failed to get his hands near an outside edge from Pieter Malan's forward prod of Ed Barnard, the Pears' frustration grew.

Rob Yates might also have been in trouble had a Barnard delivery not pitched fractionally outside the left-hander's leg stump.

But for all their probing, the Bears look comfortable.

    Lawrence lbw b James 14 (Nottinghamshire v Essex 61-3)

And another wicket falls for Essex at Trent Bridge.

England hopeful Dan Lawrence departs for just 14 to a ball that skidded through low on him from Lyndon James and wraps him on the front pad.

Bowling point in the bag for Notts after they won the toss.

  8. Postpublished at 12:41 British Summer Time 6 May 2021

    Yorkshire v Kent 65-2

Zak Crawley punches Duanne Olivier off the back foot in front of point and the ball races away for his sixth four.

The England batsman is up to 37 and looking in good nick.

  9. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:37 British Summer Time 6 May 2021

    Dawson c Gregory b Overton 0 (Hampshire 37-5 v Somerset)

And another one falls for Hampshire.

Liam Dawson departs for a duck as Lewis Gregory takes a catch at second slip off Craig Overton.

    Hampshire's batting woes continue.

  10. Sussex collapse to 25-7published at 12:34 British Summer Time 6 May 2021

    Northants v Sussex 25-7

    This is spectacular from Northants.

Gareth Berg has just claimed his third wicket in nine balls by removing Delray Rawlins for a duck.

Sussex are in danger of complete humiliation here.

  11. dropped catch

Weatherley dropped and then dismissed by Abell!published at 12:33 British Summer Time 6 May 2021

    Hampshire 36-4 v Somerset

All happening at the Ageas Bowl!

Joe Weatherley has had an eventful last 15 minutes for Hampshire.

He's survived a run out, run out his batting partner a couple of balls later, been dropped by Somerset skipper Tom Abell from a tough caught and bowled chance and then he's nicked off two balls later to Steven Davies.

Hampshire in all sorts of bother once again after being put in and they are now 36-4.

  12. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:27 British Summer Time 6 May 2021

Northeast run out 4 (Hampshire 36-3 v Somerset)

And now there is a run out at the Ageas Bowl!

Joe Weatherley may well have been a bit unsettled by that incident earlier in Craig Overton's over as he attempts to take a quick single from one he pushes out into the covers.

But his batting partner Sam Northeast has absolutely no chance of making his ground from a direct hit that comes from George Bartlett's throw.

Northeast on his way for just four and it was not his fault at all.

  13. Postpublished at 12:26 British Summer Time 6 May 2021

    Lancashire v Glamorgan 36-1

James Anderson has been replaced by Luke Wood after a six-over spell at Old Trafford.

Plenty of threat from the England great, but no wickets.

  14. Stumps flying everywhere!published at 12:25 British Summer Time 6 May 2021

    Hampshire 32-2 v Somerset

    OvertonImage source, Getty Images

Craig Overton is flinging himself absolutely everywhere for Somerset at the Ageas Bowl.

He bowls to Joe Weatherley, who defends staunchly on the front foot down the pitch, Overton picks up the ball in his follow through and then tries to run Weatherley out thinking his back foot is out of the crease.

He's safely in but Overton has gone full pelt into the batsman's end stumps in his appeal and given himself a bit of a bruise in the process.

    Enthusiastic!
