    Middlesex 295 & 216-9 v Leicestershire 136

Well that was quick. Callum Parkinson claims his fourth of the game, pinning Ethan Bamber in front for eight.

Number 11 Thilan Walallawita is the last man in. Middlesex lead by 375.

  2. Tea-time at New Roadpublished at 16:25 British Summer Time 29 May 2021

    Derbyshire 270 & 16-1, Worcestershire 421

Late tea at New Road. But still the same clean plates!

The Ladies Pavilion - and their famous teas - might currently be closed for business, but that hasn't stopped the supply line to the press box.

A throwaway polystyrene box might not be quite as attractive as a dainty china plate to eat your cake off, but that's not going to stop any hungry radio reporter.

  4. Postpublished at 16:18 British Summer Time 29 May 2021

    Northamptonshire 35-1 (target 217)

We're also playing again at Hove. Sussex need nine wickets to win, Northamptonshire need 183 runs.

  5. Postpublished at 16:16 British Summer Time 29 May 2021

    Middlesex 295 & 204-8 v Leicestershire 136

Session three under way in Leicestershire.

Two more needed as soon as possible for the Foxes.

  6. Rhodes back on track for Bearspublished at 16:16 British Summer Time 29 May 2021

    Warwickshire 341 & 95-1, Notts 297

    Mike Taylor
    BBC WM

The captaincy has probably been going better than the batting so far this season for Warwickshire skipper Will Rhodes, but his return to form has been well-timed.

He earned warm applause just before tea when he took Luke Fletcher for two legside boundaries to reach a second half-century of the match. He is in good enough touch to be optimistic of going further than the first innings, when he looked mortified to fall for 91.

A series of unhurried and well-timed strokes off front and back foot have brought him eight fours and a six.

Rob Yates kept him company in a stand of 76 without ever appearing quite as certain. He had been rattled a couple of times by the left-arm spin of Liam Patterson-White before being bowled offering no stroke.

All the same, the Bears are well-placed with four sessions left to play. And this evening's will be a long one. 42 overs!

  7. Durham still battlingpublished at 16:12 British Summer Time 29 May 2021

    Durham 99 &126-3, Essex 182 & 301

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Durham are certainly putting up more of a fight in this innings than they did in the first and at tea are 126-3, still requiring another 259 if they are to pull of a record run chase at Chester-le-Street.

Just after lunch they lost Scott Borthwick, leg before wicket for 29 to Sam Cook - the 17th LBW in the game and a new record for a match involving Durham. But, after that, Michael Jones and Alex Lees have batted nicely to put together a partnership of 57 for the third wicket.

Ryan ten Doeschate was then brought into the attack by Essex skipper Tom Westley and he claimed Lees for 48.

The batsman checked his pull through the legside and the ball looped off the bottom corner to Nick Browne at mid-off for a dolly of a catch. Lees didn't even wait to see the ball arrive in the fielder's hands. He was already heading off to the pavilion by the time it landed.

  8. Tea at The Ovalpublished at 16:08 British Summer Time 29 May 2021

    Gloucestershire 158 & 28-0 v Surrey 473

Gloucestershire survive eight overs after following on. That's tea.

  9. Postpublished at 16:07 British Summer Time 29 May 2021

    Sussex 175 & 298, Northants 256 & 35-1

    Adrian Harms
    BBC Sussex

Slight advantage at tea for Northants, who need another 183 to win with nine wickets in hand.

Sussex lost their last three wickets for just one run with skipper Ben Brown last man out for 95. He and Tom Haines scored all but 100 of the Sussex runs.

Former Lancashire and England spinner Simon Kerrigan bowled splendidly for Northants with good control and variation to take 5-70.

This still looks a decent pitch despite occasional low bounce and Northamptonshire look marginal favourites to record their third Championship win of the season

  10. 50 for Will Rhodespublished at 16:03 British Summer Time 29 May 2021

    Warwickshire 341 & 94-1, Notts 297

Warwickshire go to tea at Edgbaston on the back of skipper Will Rhodes' second half century of the match.

The Bears lead is now up to 139 - but, with stroke players like Ben Duckett and Joe Clarke in the Notts line-up, they'll still need a lot more than that.

  11. Tea at Grace Roadpublished at 16:00 British Summer Time 29 May 2021

    Middlesex 295 & 204-8 v Leicestershire 136

It's been Leicestershire's day so far with four more wickets this session.

But Middlesex have already done the damage earlier this week. At tea they lead by 363 runs with two wickets in hand.

  12. Pennington strikes for Pearspublished at 15:57 British Summer Time 29 May 2021

    Derbyshire 270 & 16-1, Worcestershire 421

Early wicket second time around for worried Derbyshire.

Having followed on, Brooke Guest goes cheaply for 7, caught behind in the fourth over by Ben Cox off Dillon Pennington.

It'd a third wicket of the day for Pennington, who had ended the Derbyshire first innings barely 20 minutes before - and it's his fifth wicket of the match.

Leus du Plooy comes in to join skipper Billy Godleman.

  13. Tea at Hovepublished at 15:55 British Summer Time 29 May 2021

    Northamptonshire 35-1 (target 217)

And we'll stop on the south coast too with Northamptonshire and Sussex evenly poised.

  14. Tea at Chester-le-Streetpublished at 15:52 British Summer Time 29 May 2021

    Durham 126-3 (target 385)

Durham are 126-3 at tea and require a further 259 runs to beat Essex.

It would be some turn around. Durham were set a rather large and unlikely 385 to win.

The record fourth innings run chase on this ground was 50 less than that and set by Yorkshire in 2013. Durham's highest successful fourth innings chase here was 20 years ago when they made 318.

  15. Notts takes first wicket at Edgbastonpublished at 15:52 British Summer Time 29 May 2021

    Warwickshire 341 & 84-1, Notts 297

Spinner Liam Patterson-White makes the first breakthrough in Warwickshire's second innings as he bowls Rob Yates for 26.

Bears skipper Will Rhodes, fresh from 91 in the first innings, is again well set on 43.

    The hosts lead by 128.

  16. Postpublished at 15:51 British Summer Time 29 May 2021

    Northamptonshire 35-1 (target 217)

An early wicket for Sussex and it's Jamie Atkins with the breakthrough as Ben Curran is caught behind for 10.

Northamptonshire need another 183 runs to win. Sussex need nine wickets on a deteriorating pitch. This is going to be close.

  17. Decent start for Tykespublished at 15:47 British Summer Time 29 May 2021

    Yorkshire 159 & 28-0, Lancashire 509-9 dec

Yorkshire are looking a lot tidier second time around at Old Trafford as they make a good initial stab at making the daunting 350 runs they need to make Lancashire bat again.

At tea, the Tykes have got through the first 15 overs.

Linchpin Adam Lyth is on 15, while an equally watchful Tom Kohler-Cadmore has hit just one boundary in his 36 deliveries, to reach 12.

Already leg spinner Matt Parkinson is into the home attack. He has bowled three overs - all maidens - and may well hold the key.

  18. Postpublished at 15:40 British Summer Time 29 May 2021

    Derbyshire 270 & 1-0, Worcestershire 421

    Dan Wheeler
    BBC Hereford & Worcester

A fine effort from Worcestershire's seamers to nip out Derbyshire just under the follow-on target.

Dillon Pennington has bowled with tremendous gusto and pace to share the last four wickets with Alzarri Joseph.

And the home side have chosen to stick the visitors in again.

Pennington's figures of 4-44 are a new career-best for him, while Joseph finally got some reward for the rapid spell that started the mini collapse as Derbyshire lost their last four wickets for 20.

  19. Postpublished at 15:35 British Summer Time 29 May 2021

    Gloucestershire 158 & 0-0 v Surrey 495

No surprises. Surrey skipper Hashim Amla makes Gloucestershire follow-on.

  20. 50 runs

50 partnership at Edgbastonpublished at 15:33 British Summer Time 29 May 2021

    Warwickshire 341 & 63-0, Notts 297

Will Rhodes and Rob Yates have gone past 50 together.

The Bears' lead is now up to 107. They now have a chance to take this game way from Group One leaders Notts.
