Two sessions down in all of our Division One matches.

Let's see what the scores look like across the other two matches as well with a couple still playing on in their afternoon sessions...

  3. Tea at Trent Bridgepublished at 15:30 British Summer Time 21 September 2021

    Nottinghamshire 176-6 v Yorkshire

Joe Clarke's unbeaten half-century has been the bedrock of Nottinghamshire's innings as they try to build an imposing total before their seam bowlers get to work.

But Yorkshire have chipped away at the other end with three wickets and some tight bowling to keep themselves in the game.

However, seasoned Trent Bridge watchers may feel with the green tinge to the pitch, this total could easily put the visitors under the cosh when it's their turn to bat.

  4. Tea at Aigburthpublished at 15:25 British Summer Time 21 September 2021

    Lancashire v Hampshire 129-8

Lancashire have kept their foot on the gas after lunch, picking up four more wickets for just 65 runs with wickets for Bailey, Wood, Parkinson and a run-out.

However, the Hampshire tail have been obdurate opponents and are making their hosts work hard to polish them off, even if they are unlikely to pick up any batting points.

  5. Tea at Edgbastonpublished at 15:24 British Summer Time 21 September 2021

    Warwickshire 161-3 v Somerset

Warwickshire reach tea arguably in the best shape of the four title contenders so far today, certainly in terms of runs on the board.

They did lose the wickets of skipper Will Rhodes (60) and Dom Sibley (56) in that afternoon session, but Sam Hain (18 not out) and Matthew Lamb (9 not out) are starting to build a useful partnership for this fourth wicket.

  6. Crane a hard man to dismisspublished at 15:24 British Summer Time 21 September 2021

    Lancashire v Hampshire 129-8

Mason Crane has held Lancashire up for his 66 balls to notch up an unbeaten 14 so far.

But the number nine has previous. Against Yorkshire at the start of this stage of the Championship, Crane held up Yorkshire as a nightwatchman. He made 28 off 197 balls in that innings as Hampshire eventually survived for a draw with nine wickets down.

  7. wicket

    WICKET Patterson-White c Duke b Coad 16published at 15:18 British Summer Time 21 September 2021

    Nottinghamshire 173-6 v Yorkshire

Beautiful bowling from Yorkshire captain Ben Coad to get rid of Liam Patterson-White.

One ball after being hit for four, he produces the perfect length with a hint of movement away from the bat and Patterson-White gets the nick.

It's a second for Coad, but it's a five-fer for wicketkeeper Harry Duke with catches.

  8. dropped catch

Dropped catchpublished at 15:07 British Summer Time 21 September 2021

    Nottinghamshire 163-5 v Yorkshire

A big let-off for Joe Clarke, as he is put down by Adam Lyth at second slip off Ben Coad when on 57.

Some tight bowling from Yorkshire in the last 40 minutes has put the brakes on the home county.

  9. Postpublished at 15:01 British Summer Time 21 September 2021

    Warwickshire 151-3 v Somerset

150-up for Warwickshire now, who may well be keeping an eye on proceedings at Aigburth.

Sam Hain came into this match off the back of a king pair against Yorkshire last week, but his square cut for four off Jack Leach takes him into double figures already.

  10. wicket

WICKET Organ c Bohannon b Parkinson 22published at 14:59 British Summer Time 21 September 2021

    Lancashire v Hampshire 120-8

Just when the eighth wicket stand was starting to reach irritation point for Lancashire and the wicket arrives.

Having grafted for 22 off 62 balls, Felix Organ tries to slog Matt Parkinson over mid-wicket but gets a top edge. The ball spirals up into the offside air where Josh Bohannon gets there just before a diving Jack Blatherwick to take the catch at point.

A useful stand of 29 though to creep that total up towards something that can be competitive.

  11. wicket

WICKET Sibley c Davies b Brooks 56published at 14:50 British Summer Time 21 September 2021

    Warwickshire 139-3 v Somerset

Another breakthrough for Somerset at Edgbaston as Dom Sibley gets a beauty from Jack Brooks.

Great bit of shape and late away movement plus a bit of extra bounce finds the outside edge of the Bears opener and Steven Davies takes the catch with the gloves.

Sibley's 165-ball stay comes to an end and Warwickshire will have to build again with Sam Hain and Matthew Lamb at the crease.

  12. Durham's collapse sees wickets "thrown away"published at 14:47 British Summer Time 21 September 2021

    D2: Gloucestershire 5-1 v Durham 140

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle at Bristol

An awful showing after lunch saw Durham lose six wickets for 31 runs in 11 overs as Gloucestershire bowled them out for just 140. And this after they chose to bat.

Five of the players threw their wickets away after the break, seemingly unable to deal with the left-arm spin of Zafar Khan and Graeme van Buuren. Khan finished with 5-50, but Van Buuren started the rot when Ned Eckersley pushed him tamely to Chris Dent in the covers on 20.

Although Graham Clark was bowled by a decent ball from Van Buuren, the others just didn't know what to do. Paul Coughlin (9) and Liam Trevaskis (first ball) fell in the same Khan over while sweeping. Matty Potts was caught and bowled by Van Buuren for 4, pushing a simple catch back to him.

And then with the last pair at the crease Ben Raine clipped Khan to point on 16, having first gone towards the bowler, only to retreat in two minds before giving up his wicket.

    Van Buuren, a part-time spinner took 3-28.

  13. Hard-going tonpublished at 14:34 British Summer Time 21 September 2021

    Lancashire v Hampshire 100-7

The 100 is finally up for the visitors at Liverpool.

But coming in the 49th over for the loss of seven wickets tells you how hard going it has been.

If the last three wickets can eke out another 30-40 runs though, this could still give them something with which to bowl.

  14. wicket

WICKET Moores c Duke b Thompson 9published at 14:33 British Summer Time 21 September 2021

    Nottinghamshire 147-5 v Yorkshire

It's rare for Jordan Thompson not to be among the wickets for Yorkshire's and he has made the breakthrough here.

Wicketkeeper Tom Moores succeeds only in edging one to opposite number Harry Duke and his watchful 45 minutes at the crease is over.

Notts keep losing wickets at regular intervals.

  15. 50 runs

50 for Dom Sibleypublished at 14:23 British Summer Time 21 September 2021

    Warwickshire 126-2 v Somerset

    SibleyImage source, Getty Images

A well-deserved half-century for Dom Sibley at Edgbaston.

He's hit seven fours in his 132-ball stay at the crease so far.

He'll be desperate to keep going here and press the Bears towards batting bonus points.

  16. 50 runs

50 for Joe Clarkepublished at 14:23 British Summer Time 21 September 2021

    Nottinghamshire 142-4 v Yorkshire

    Joe ClarkeImage source, Getty Images

Joe Clarke brings up a deserved half-century for Nottinghamshire with a glance down to deep backward square for four.

That's his ninth boundary in a 96-ball innings, but the challenge is to go on and surpass his season's best Championship score of 67.

  17. Divisions Two and Three latestpublished at 14:22 British Summer Time 21 September 2021

A first look of the afternoon at what's occurring away from the title race...

Essex are almost there in terms of securing the Division Two honours. After bowling Northamptonshire out for just 81 earlier, they're 37-0 in reply.

Glamorgan are pressing on against Surrey at The Oval with David Lloyd (77 not out) and Joe Cooke (51 not out) taking them to 182-1.

Gloucestershire have reduced Durham to 129-8 at Bristol, spinner Zafar Gohar with 4-46.

In Division Three, leaders Middlesex have moved on to 129-3 against second-placed Kent. Mark Stoneman (pictured above) falling a short while ago for 59 to Darren Stevens.

At Hove, Derbyshire are 189-3 against Sussex thanks to half-centuries from Billy Godleman and Wayne Madsen.

Finally, at New Road Leicestershire are 133-5 against Worcestershire.

  18. wicket

WICKET Rhodes c Davies b Lammonby 60published at 14:12 British Summer Time 21 September 2021

    Warwickshire 124-2 v Somerset

Disappointment for Warwickshire skipper Will Rhodes.

His promising innings and his profitable second-wicket partnership with Dom Sibley comes to an end with a loose shot off Tom Lammonby.

Rhodes' footwork goes missing as he wafts at the ball outside off and gets a thin edge through to wicketkeeper Steven Davies to depart for 60.

  19. wicket

WICKET Barker c Davies b Wood 9published at 14:01 British Summer Time 21 September 2021

    Lancashire v Hampshire 91-7

    Alex Davies, take a bow!

The wicketkeeper takes a superb diving one-hander as Keith Barker tries to work a Luke Wood delivery down to fine leg.

And there will be big relief for Danny Lamb as in the very previous over, he let a Barker edge go straight through him at second slip.

  20. Northants dismissed for 81published at 13:52 British Summer Time 21 September 2021

    PorterImage source, Rex Features

Essex have made short work of Northants' first innings at Chelmsford despite having lost the toss this morning.

The visitors bowled out for just 81 inside 35 overs. Sam Cook takes 5-21 and Jamie Porter 4-31.
