  1. NZ 76-1published at 21 overs

This is excellent from Mark Wood. More pace, this time sending the ball a little higher and underneath the waft of Wood's bat. The crowd, sensing something happening, applaud, and Wood gives Broad a big grin as he walks back to his mark.

Conway ends the over with a more confident pull shot that Zak Crawley, patrolling the boundary edge, gets a hand to - and then sends it into the rope.

  2. NZ 72-1published at 20.3 overs

Mark Wood gives Devon Conway another bruise on the shoulder, Conway ducking into a shortish delivery once again.

In comes the short leg fielder...

England have two windows to get Williamson. They have half an hour before lunch and then 20 minutes after the break. If he is still there at 14:40 he will be on 20-odd and it will be time to sit back and admire.

Robinson started really well to him there.

I have been impressed with Robinson. He looks to be fast enough. He caused trouble to Williamson in the first two or three balls he faced.

  5. NZ 72-1published at 20 overs

Kane Williamson jabs his bat down on an Ollie Robinson delivery that is nipping back into him, which briefly excites the slip cordon.

I dismissed a future England cricketerpublished at 12:35 British Summer Time 2 June 2021

    Text 81111

A couple of years after leaving school, I returned to play in the old boys' game against the School Xl. In the first innings I dismissed Ollie Robinson and he returned the favour by dismissing me in the second innings. The fact that we share the same name makes for a rather interesting score book. Sadly our cricketing careers have gone in different directions since that day.

    Oliver Robinson, Kent

  8. NZ 72-1published at 19 overs

    Conway 37, Williamson 6

Too full from Mark Wood and he's driven with aplomb back down the ground for four by Devon Conway.

Kane Williamson then gets on the act with a handsome drive that beats Rory Burns in his chase across the field.

Yesterday Kane Williamson took questions about the 2019 World Cup final with his usual affable nature.

He said the Black Caps don't feel like the owe any sort of revenge to England and that they even look back on that heartbreaking day with a degree of fondness.

I'm told that those members of the New Zealand squad who were involved that day are changing in the same spots in the Lord's dressing room. If I was them I'd never want to see this place again.

  11. NZ 62-1published at 18 overs

    Robinson 5-1-17-1

Belter from Ollie Robinson, beating Kane Williamson's outside edge, before another delivery, this one clocking 87mph, nips back and rises over the top of Williamson's stumps. He's not looking overly comfortable at the minute, and he ends the over with another play and miss. Superb from Robinson.

I have been watching some of Mark Wood's spells for Durham this season. I would not have wanted to be facing him. Some of them have been brilliant.

  14. NZ 62-1published at 17 overs

A ferocious final delivery from Mark Wood has Devon Conway in all sorts of trouble, and he gets struck high on the arm as he makes a last-minute decision to duck out of the way.

  15. NZ 62-1published at 16.4 overs

Mark Wood's first delivery is a casual 91mph and is inside-edged away by Devon Conway for a couple.

A single brings skipper Kane Williamson on strike. Williamson, incidentally, has made three centuries in his last four Test innings. And two of those were doubles. Quite good, that.

    Latham b Robinson 23 (NZ 58-1)

    Ollie Robinson strikes!

A first Test wicket for Robinson as Tom Latham, feet stuck in concrete, pushes forward and sends a healthy inside edge into the stumps. The sticks are splattered and Robinson goes roaring away in celebration before he disappears in the middle of a team hug.
