Tom Latham jogs a leisurely single off the final ball of the over.
I've missed this so much.

It looked like it might have just pitched outside leg stump.
Whoopsie. James Anderson tries an outswinger and spears the ball well wide, with James Bracey having to move in front of first slip to take the ball.
Anderson recovers to thwack Tom Latham on the pad, but it looks to be pitching outside leg, and the umpire shakes his head.

Provided they are not too rusty, New Zealand look the better bet.
Outside off stump and left alone by Tom Latham.

Was that a round of applause? I haven't heard one of those for a while.
It's sunny. The players are making their way to the middle. Jimmy Anderson has the ball in his mitts...
It's time.
The players have gathered on the outfield for a moment of unity, which is showing their collective stance against discrimination in cricket.
The England men and women's players will wear shirts throughout the warm-ups, with each one bearing a message about standing against a different form of discrimination.
Would you look at that...

The four England seamers are an interesting quartet. You need to bowl 90 overs in a day and you have two senior citizens, who you wouldn't expect bowl more than 20 overs; Mark Woodt, who you want to bowl with pace; and Ollie Robinson, who is making his debut.
There might be a bit of juggling to do.
BBC Weather's Nick Miller: "It is not out of the question today that right at end of day we could have a shower or thunderstorm but the risk is very low. It is more likely to stay dry with temperatures up to 27C."
It's a big summer for cricket in England, and Chris Silverwood will be overseeing the men's team's progress.

Joe Root is a good bowler on a turning pitch. I am not sure how good he is on a day one or two pitch. It is a punt to pick him as your spinner.
It is the problem of not having your all-rounder.
England debutant James Bracey, speaking to TMS: "Absolutely buzzing. I opened the curtains to see massive blue skies, crowds coming back in. It is all set up perfectly, as you imagine growing up.
"Ever since I found out Ben (Foakes) had gone down it has changed a bit. Now the day is here I am hoping to soak it up and enjoy the occasion."
On who he has received messages from this week: "Every person I have met in cricket in the last 10 years! And some of the guys who aren't here like Jos Buttler as well."

Particularly with the forecast, England not playing Jack Leach. It is a very brave call. I would have preferred to see a spin bowler used.
