I blame Duncan in Suffolk for that.

If anyone is going to enjoy the crowd and the big occasion it'll be Stuart Broad. This will suit his character because England need a performance.
Rory Burns, Dan Lawrence, Olly Stone and Mark Wood all played vital hands there. England need others to step up in their second innings.
For now, though, it's back to the bowlers to do what they've done best for years - somewhat bail the batters out with a fine performance.
James Anderson to take the new ball on his record 162nd Test. Stay tuned - should be a cracking atmosphere.
And can Stuart Broad get on one of those runs?

Vital runs from Stone and Wood. Is there anyone else named after construction materials that we can pick?

When you win the toss you'd love to get 450-500 and that takes the loss out of the game, but this is a competitive score.
We saw swing all day yesterday and the overheads are very similar today. If the ball is swinging England will feel they can create chances today.
England will be disappointed that nobody that got in managed to get a 150-plus.
Dan Lawrence has for the time being moved himself of at least Zak Crawley and James Bracey in the England batting pecking order with that knock, I reckon, for when the likes of Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler return.
England rate Ollie Pope very, very highly. But could Lawrence even be edging ahead of him too?

Dan Lawrence's innings was well-crafted. He played some wonderful shots and it was a battling innings.
It was an outstanding hand.
Anderson lbw Boult 4 (Eng 303 all out)
Three reds. Decision reversed. Innings over.
The two noises were the ball hitting both pads, not the bat and ball tracking shows it would've gone on to hit leg stump.
James Anderson falls for four and no century for Dan Lawrence, who ends unbeaten on a superb 81, sharing the highest score for the innings with Rory Burns.
England all out for 303 - lower than hoped when they won the toss but much better than expected when they slipped to 175-6 yesterday.

Trent Boult thinks there is enough here.
No bat...

I thought I heard two noises, but it could have been two pads. It could be hitting leg stump.
Big shout for lbw from Trent Boult against James Anderson.
Umpire Richard Kettleborough shakes his head. Inside edge?
Boult really likes it though and Tom Latham sends it upstairs.

Hundred for Lawrence and a spirited 25 from Jimmy would go down a treat right now.
Duncan, Suffolk
Trent Boult goes for the yorker but it's too slow and James Anderson can jam his bat down in time.

Dan Lawrence and Neil Wagner are having a good chat between overs. Essex team-mates.
Sadly no ludicrous hook shots from Stuart Broad today...

Dan Lawrence would like a bit more support, but he could get to the magic three figures pretty quickly.
That is a great shot from him!
Lawrence 81, Anderson 4
The field comes in for the last two balls, Dan Lawrence steps to leg and bashes it over the covers for four. Smart.
And a bit too predictable from the tourists.
That's the 300 up for England. Now can Lawrence nick a single to keep the strike?
Nope, he ends up nutmegging himself trying to work to leg.

There's already a beer snake in the Hollies. We haven't been playing for an hour yet.
