Here he comes - the big man with the tidy moustache and the frightening short balls.
Marchant de Lange on for his first bowl of the evening for Somerset...
Bohannon 26, Vilas 4
Cheeky lap-scoop shot from Josh Bohannon over the wicketkeeper's head for one bounce gets him another four and brings up Lightning's 50.
Tidy over besides that from Jack Brooks as just three more singles come from it to end the powerplay.
Mark Davis
Former Somerset seam bowler
Quote MessageA magnificent fightback but now van der Merwe out of the attack. Bizarre. I’d keep him on.
And the bowling change merry-go-round continues in the powerplay with Jack Brooks coming back on for his second over....
Bohannon 21, Vilas 2
Josh Davey returns after that double breakthrough from Van der Merwe as Lancashire skipper Dane Vilas comes out at number four.
Time for a bit of consolidation maybe?
Josh Bohannon keeps the strike rotating but Somerset are buoyed now with a couple of decent stops in the inner ring to cut off singles.
Somerset 44-2 v Lancs
Two in the over!
Somerset back in the powerplay as Alex Davies falls third ball.
Badly needed for the home side.
Lancs 44-1 v Somerset
Roelof van der Merwe to try and stem the tide.
But Josh Bohannon takes him for four first ball!
Liam Livingstone back on strike…and he’s gone!
Bowler takes a return catch and relief for Somerset.
Mark Davis
Former Somerset seam bowler
Quote MessageLiam Livingstone is confident and feels he can go at every ball. It feels like a benefit match so far. Hitting it for fun.
And again from Liam Livingstone!
Over deep midwicket this time and then some!
Here we go!
Big, big hit from Liam Livingstone back down the ground and I think he's going to enjoy this lack of pace from Ben Green.
Into the river it goes behind the stands.
Mark Davis
Former Somerset seam bowler
Quote MessageLancashire will be thrilled. What a start. Somerset need a wicket.
Early change of bowling sees Ben Green into the Somerset attack....
Livingstone 13, Bohannon 13
First four of the night for Josh Bohannon as he takes advantage of fine leg being inside the circle and glances it off his legs.
Deft touch.
Couple of balls later, shuffles across his crease outside off to repeat the shot for four more even finer of fine leg.
Lancashire motoring.
Josh Davey will share the new ball.
Livingstone 13, Bohannon 4
Fortuitous boundary gets Liam Livingstone's innings going.
He almost chops it back on to his onwn stumps off Jack Brooks but it's fine down to the rope for four.
No mistake the next ball though as he flips it over the legside into the first few rows of seating for the first six of the night.
Take cover in the stands I reckon. Strong start for Lightning as Josh Bohannon adds three to his own score with a cover drive off the last ball.
Jack Brooks and his trademark headband will begin with the ball for Somerset.
More than 7,000 packed in to the ground and they're raring to cheer on the home side.
Fireworks and flame-throwers are going off around the boundary at a sun-drenched Taunton.
Liam Livingstone and Josh Bohannon are striding to the middle for Lancashire.
Almost ready to go.....

Hampshire beat Notts Outlaws in a Trent Bridge thriller
Wednesday's meeting between Notts Outlaws and Hampshire Hawks surpassed all the drama of the night before in some style as Hampshire won a low-scoring rip-roarer by just two runs.
Having limped to 125-9, Hampshire's hopes looked dashed as Notts got off to a flier in the powerplay.
But a dramatic collapse from 83-3 to 109-9 turned the match on its head and stunned the Notts faithful.
Matthew Carter almost pulled a rabbit out of the hat for the Outlaws smashing a couple of sixes in the penultimate over to make it 3 to win off the last over.
However, Hawks seamer Brad Wheal showed nerves of steel as Dane Paterson could not get off strike and was eventually last man out cuaght behind to give the visitiors a stunning win.
Sussex beat Yorkshire thanks to Rashid Khan's cameo
On Tuesday, Sussex made the long trip to the north east to face Yorkshire at their adopted home of Chester-le-Street.
All looked lost for the Sharks when Rashid Khan strode to the crease with his side needing 35 from the last 18 balls.
But the Afghanistan superstar soon made that look like child's play as he smashed the ball to all parts to seal a five-wicket win.
