Sneh Rana has had a change of ends.
Full and straight from Vastrakar and she almost induces an under-edge from Tammy Beaumont, as the diminutive England opener tries to jab her bat down.
Beaumont jabs a single and then instantly takes off her gloves after jarring her fingers on the grip of the bat. Ouch.
Wicket-taker Pooja Vastrakar is coming back for another spell.
Close! A loose sort of drive from Heather Knight, playing away from her body, one hand off the bat, and a thick outside edge beats gully and races for four. Knight looks furious with herself for that lapse in concentration.

There needs to be a tight bowling spell here from one of Sneh Rana, Shikha Pandey or Deepti Sharma to bring back some control for India. Otherwise Mithali Raj will have to turn back to Goswami again and that means she won't be as fresh for when the new ball comes. The bowlers all seem to be trying to do something different and they are struggling to hold up an end, but it is important to remember they are very new to this format.
There was some treatment being meted out to one of the players during that drinks break.
That's 42 of 100 overs done...

Erling: Alex Hartley and Henry Moeran talking about food on is making me hungry. So I am going to get myself a large ice cream now Thanks for the inspiration.
Short, too short, from Sneh Rana, and Heather Knight jumps into a cut shot to pick up four runs.
Another couple of whips bring some more singles into England's steadily accelerating total.
A maiden from Shikha Pandey, played watchfully by Heather Knight.

What's impressed me most from England today has been their mindset. They knew they needed to win this match, as it's worth more points in the series, but they also knew they had to win it well and play positively, and they've made a brilliant start.
Heather Knight, who has been in nice touch since lunch, works a single off Sneh Rana.

I just think the ball turning away from the right hander is such a big threat. There is a bit of turn there, so I think India are missing something from their bowling attack, especially when you consider that England have no left-handed batters. It shows in the score as well, that they've only taken one wicket so far and England do look very comfortable.
A half-appeal as Shikha Pandey spears a full delivery into Tammy Beaumont, bat and pad close together, but the ball slides on the bounce towards the slip fielder.
Shot! Beaumont follows it up with a whip of a drive that races away for four.
Tidy enough from Sneh Rana, and Heather Knight gets her feet moving as she plays out a maiden.
Jhulan Goswami is finally going to get a rest, with Sneh Rana replacing her.

Shikha Pandey, resplendent in a white headband, runs in, and England settle themselves with a couple of runs.
"Athlete". She's modest, is our Alex.
Here's Shikha Pandey.
