New Zealand beat England by four wickets

England may have fallen short this evening, but there were some positives to take out of the match.

New Zealand beat England by four wickets

Certainly was a terrific performance in her 100th T20 international from Sophie Devine with both bat and ball.

But her 39-ball half-century featured four huge sixes. Enjoy her best bits below...

New Zealand captain and player of the match Sophie Devine speaking to Sky Sports:

"It feels good to be back in the winner's chair. It's been a pretty tough 18 months for us, but I'm really proud of everyone.

"We know we've got talent at our disposal and winning's a habit and hopefully we can start to rediscover it now.

"I think that's probably the first one anyone's won on a milestone game, so it was nice to break that hoodoo."

England captain Nat Sciver speaking to Sky Sports:

"We were a little bit short on runs and lost too many wickets in the powerplay, so it forced us to rebuild in the middle overs.

"We didn't get partnerships together sadly towards the end.

"Sophie (Devine) played a brilliant innings tonight and she certainly took the game away from us and unsettled our lines."

England will take a lot from this game - the maturity of Danni Wyatt's innings to help an inexperienced middle order through. Whether Heather Knight returns for the third T20, we don't know, but she would give them more experience there.

Reflecting on the bowling, there were too many extras - eight wides and a lot of runs scored off the extra balls. Sophie Devine played an excellent innings, she's a quality player - and those early wickets meant England never really got going with the bat.

    Breaking

Well, from victory hopes to a rather tame finish in the same delivery for England.

Tash Farrant strays in her line again down the legside and twice in succession Amy Jones standing up can't hold on to it and New Zealand scramble the last four runs required in wides off consecutive deliveries.

New Zealand win by four wickets with 10 balls to spare and the series is level at 1-1 with one to play.

And there is a deflection and a spike on Ultra Edge!

There could have been some sort of a deflection, because it went even further down the leg side. Great take by Amy Jones.

Well, well - could be some more drama here with an appeal for a catch down legside...

Not what Tash Farrant wanted there.

First ball is driven handsomely for four to extra cover by Hayley Jensen.

    Five off that over.

New Zealand will be more than pleased with that and also having not lost any more wickets.
