  1. NZ 150-6published at 40 overs

    Need 29 runs to win

Would you believe it! Charlie Dean beats Hayley Jensen, the ball clips the off stump but the bail doesn't come off!

She has her hands on her head in disbelief and who can blame her?!

The mindset of Hayley Jensen will be interesting here. She has to look to be busy - she can't get stuck on the crease.

  3. NZ 149-6published at 39 overs

    Need 30 runs to win

England have come to life with those two quick wickets. Plenty of noise, buzzing around in the field and every ball is cheered like it's a game changer.

Hayley Jensen is the new batter.

Oh dear! It is just a full straight ball and she should do better with that. The door is open for England now - they'll be up and about now.

    Martin b Ecclestone 2 (NZ 149-6)

Don't need a review for that one!

Katey Martin's poor run of form continues as she misses a straight one from Ecclestone. It's nothing extravagant - it's just snuck through her defences.

New Zealand are making this so much more difficult than it needs to be.

  7. Not outpublished at 19:17 British Summer Time 21 September 2021

It's missing leg stump by a long way.

I just love Sue Redfern. She's so sassy but mostly through her facial expressions. This one says "I told you so" as she hands the ball back to Ecclestone.

England are now out of reviews.

Sophie Ecclestone was signalling that she thought that was going down the leg side.

  9. England reviewpublished at 19:16 British Summer Time 21 September 2021

England have reviewed an lbw decision against Katey Martin. It's been given not out on the field and it took Heather Knight a long time to decide whether to review.

  10. NZ 147-5published at 38 overs

    Need 32 runs to win

Katey Martin joins Maddy Green in the middle and gets off the mark straight away.

New Zealand should still get over the line from here.

    Should.

It is good bowling. It felt a bit innocuous.

    Halliday b Farrant 25 (NZ 146-5)

No need for Brunt, says Tash Farrant!

New Zealand are not making this easy for themselves. It's full and straight and Halliday plays all around it.

But she's played a helpful supporting role there for Maddy Green.

  14. NZ 145-4published at 37 overs

    Need 34 runs to win

Five wides from Sophie Ecclestone, who has her head in her hands and looks absolutely fuming. A fielder tosses the ball back to her and she properly snatches at it in a sulk.

That's the 50 partnership between Maddy Green and Brooke Halliday.

Does Heather Knight take a gamble and bring Katherine Brunt back on? It's probably earlier than she'd like to, but England need a wicket or two.

England need something pretty special here - they need a cluster of wickets. It all seems a little bit too easy for New Zealand at the moment.

  16. NZ 137-4published at 36 overs

    Need 42 runs to win

Farrant recovers well to bowl five dot balls at Brooke Halliday. Getting a four from the first ball eases that pressure from the batter, though, so it's not a problem for New Zealand.

England have got to find the balance between finding wickets and stopping the runs.

If they can get a couple of wickets here they'll think they've got a chance but New Zealand look like doing this at ease at the moment.

  18. NZ 133-4published at 35.1 overs

    Target 179

More runs as Tash Farrant drops short and Brooke Halliday latches onto it with ease to find the boundary.

A quick burst of runs here for New Zealand, which they'll be very pleased with.

That is a lovely shot. She has played the drive so well.

  20. NZ 129-4published at 35 overs

    Target 179

Too full from Kate Cross and Green drills it down the ground for a straight four.

Amy Jones' "Yes Crossy" from behind the stumps is like a metronome. I don't know why but it just entertains me.
