New Zealand's players are making their way out to the middle, closely followed by England openers Tammy Beaumont and Lauren Winfield-Hill.

England have batted first four times in 2021, and have been bowled in all four of those innings. That is a slide that Heather Knight and Lisa Keightley will want to end, starting today.

You won't win many World Cup's being bowled out.

Bringing the likes of Maia Bouchier in does keep England's more experienced players on their toes. They've got such a busy winter ahead so Lisa Keightley and Heather Knight will be tinkering with their squad to find the perfect balance.

They'll be wanting people to put their hands up and put in performances and say, "I deserve to be in this side".

  3. Aussies thrash India in first ODIpublished at 12:54 British Summer Time 21 September 2021

On the other side of the world, Australia's multi-format series against India - that includes three ODIs, a one-off Test, and three T20s - kicked off last night/this morning.

And it was a rather one-sided affair, Australia once again showing just how far ahead they are in the women's game. India limped to 225-8 from their allocated 50 overs before Australia lost just one wicket chasing it down - each of their top three batters passing 50.

  4. Highlights at 22:30 BSTpublished at 12:51 British Summer Time 21 September 2021

At least the first half of this game falls within the normal working day so while that is great for me because you'll be reading my witter on, it does mean you probably can't watch the game properly.

Don't worry, I can help with that too! There will be a 30-minute highlights show on BBC Red Button at 22:30 BST tonight, and they will be available on BBC iPlayer to catch-up on for 30 days afterwards too.

You can watch the first and second ODI highlights now too.

    Enjoy.

Yesterday saw the news that England men's and women's tours of Pakistan in October were cancelled.

That means the women's side now just have these three remaining ODIs against New Zealand, and three against Australia in the Ashes in February before March's World Cup.

Winning today so they can rotate and continue to find out about players would be a massive plus for Heather Knight and Lisa Keightley.

  7. Postpublished at 12:43 British Summer Time 21 September 2021

England captain Heather Knight: "I would've bowled too, but I don't think it matters too much. My decision was going to be potentially around getting better under lights but the surface is usually pretty good here. Hopefully we can get out there and put a score on the board.

"It's a good sign from the other day that even when we're not at our best, we're still winning games.

But we want to be more ruthless and make sure that when we're in that winning position, we can maximise it a little bit more."

  8. Postpublished at 12:40 British Summer Time 21 September 2021

New Zealand captain Sophie Devine: "We've had some success bowling first, bowling England out in the first two ODIs so we want to put the pressure back on them.

"We've got to give full credit to the ECB security team, they've really looked after us. But for us, we're just focusing on the job at hand and that's playing international cricket.

"We got some really clear information about the situation, we just had to sit tight and let people do their jobs. We've been lucky with the communication we've had and we've trusted that.

"Molly Penfold is an absolute beast of a bowler so I'm really looking forward to letting her rip especially alongside Lea Tahuhu."

  9. Postpublished at 12:38 British Summer Time 21 September 2021

This game was potentially under threat yesterday after the England and Wales Cricket Board received a "threatening email" towards the New Zealand team.

In a statement, New Zealand Cricket said the threat was investigated and "deemed not credible".

Security has been increased "as a precaution" and the game was given the go ahead.

  10. Postpublished at 12:36 British Summer Time 21 September 2021

Anya Shrubsole, who has missed all of this series with an ankle injury, had a bowl this morning and Heather Knight says they are "hopeful" she'll be fit for the fourth ODI on Thursday.

  11. Postpublished at 12:34 British Summer Time 21 September 2021

Heather Knight wanted to bowl first too, but she doesn't think the wicket will change too much.

One change for England: Nat Sciver drops out and Katherine Brunt comes back in.

  12. Postpublished at 12:33 British Summer Time 21 September 2021

Molly Penfold is going to make her New Zealand debut today. Sophie Devine has just called her "a beast" of a bowler.

That is one of two changes. We'll bring you full team news shortly.

    Will England make more changes?

Katherine Brunt was rested on Sunday so she may come back in, while they've added Southern Vipers batter Maia Bouchier to the squad since then too.

  15. Postpublished at 12:28 British Summer Time 21 September 2021

Afternoon everyone! How are you all?

England have been so far from their best in this series so far but they've found a way to win both games so far.

They'd love to wrap the series up today, so they can continue rotating and finding out about more players ahead of the 50-over World Cup in New Zealand in March.

    Two games, two wins.

Can England wrap up this one-day international series with two games to spare?
