  1. 50 runs

50 for Maddy Greenpublished at 34 overs

    NZ 122-4

A pull out to square leg for a single takes Maddy Green to her half-century, and what a time to get it. She receives big applause from her teammates but her own celebration is very low key - she knows her job is far from done.

On paper New Zealand should win this easily. The near misses may be a good thing for New Zealand and just remind them of what they need to do: knuckle down.

  4. drinks break

    NZ 118-4published at 33 overs

    Target 179

Half an appeal for an lbw on Maddy Green, but it's going down the leg side. Amy Jones then gives away a single as she misses the stumps trying to flick the ball back.

As usual with half-hearted lbw appeals, umpire Sue is having none of it.

    Time for a drinks break.

Katherine Brunt: the definition of competitor.

  6. NZ 117-4published at 32 overs

    Target 179

Big mix up! Tammy Beaumont has a very decent chance to run out Halliday, who is halfway down the track before being sent back - but she lobs the ball over the bowler's head.

  7. NZ 113-4published at 31.1 overs

    Target 179

That'll help! Brooke Halliday comes down the track and smashes Sophie Ecclestone back over her head for four with real power.

  8. NZ 109-4published at 31 overs

    Target 179

Another tidy Kate Cross over is greeted by several choruses of "Yes Crossy!" from Amy Jones behind the stumps.

There is still so much time left in this game - but 70 from 114 balls is looking like very hard work at the moment.

I do find it quite curious to bring Sophie Ecclestone on at this stage, especially with the left hander in.

This could be wasting quite valuable Ecclestone overs.

  10. NZ 107-4published at 30 overs

    Target 179

The left hander Brooke Halliday gets down on one knee and sweeps Sophie Ecclestone's first ball for four.

Six runs from it, which New Zealand will be happy with. They probably need a big over or two to feel in control - it's too close to call at the moment.

England were elated with the wicket of Amy Satterthwaite, who looked in sublime form.

  12. NZ 101-4published at 29 overs

    Target 179

Kate Cross replaced Brunt - Heather Knight clearly wants to keep her last two overs up her sleeve for the end of the innings.

A good replacement though, as Cross' over goes for just two.

  14. NZ 99-4published at 28 overs

    Target 179

Katherine Brunt, just after bowling, has to chase the ball down to the longest part of the ground as Maddy Green tickles the ball very fine for three runs.

Comically, she makes Charlie Dean wait to bowl the next ball as she has to jog back to her original fielding position.

We've spoke about how good Katherine Brunt is, but I don't think we can overlook the captaincy of Heather Knight in bringing her back.

  16. NZ 94-4published at 27 overs

    Target 179

Brooke Halliday is the new batter for New Zealand.

Brunt has two overs left. Will they just try and see her off and hope they can make up for it from the change bowlers?

She saved England with the bat, making 49 not out, and now she's doing it with the ball. Hero.

Katherine Brunt is getting better and better with age. There was a huge fist pump because she knows that England are in with a chance of winning this game because they have got New Zealand's big three batters - Suzie Bates, Amy Satterthwaite and Sophie Devine - out.

Katherine Brunt loves taking wickets, and that is why she is still playing the game.

She did a little jig in celebration.

    Devine b Brunt 3 (NZ 94-4)

    HUGE wicket!

Katherine Brunt is buzzing. The celebration says it all, a huge fist pump as she gets down on one knee.

It's back of a length, Devine tries to pull but completely misses and is bowled.

  20. NZ 93-3published at 26 overs

    Target 179

    Thanks, Callum.

As I said at the end of England's innings, New Zealand should chase this comfortably but almost predictably, they've made pretty hard work of it.

Another tidy over from the impressive Charlie Dean, who looks like she's really enjoying life in an England shirt.
