With the fate of the County Championship hanging by a thread, 5 Live Sports Extra are going to stick with commentary of the crucial Lancashire-Hampshire game which may be all over in a few minutes - they'll be back at Derby to follow England's reply once that game is (as looks likely) concluded soon.

    Target 245

New Zealand are without Lea Tahuhu and Molly Penfold, remember - their quicks who tore through England's top order just two days ago.

Jess Kerr starts nicely though, her first over going for just a single.

It's a big innings for Lauren Winfield-Hill, too - her place is under pressure.

    Thanks, Kal.

Here come the players, Tammy Beaumont doing a few obligatory swings of the bat followed by a fist bump with her partner.

It's not been the best series for England's batters. Can they put that right today? It won't be straightforward but the pitch and outfield look very good so they should be confident.

Right then, England openers Tammy Beaumont and Lauren Winfield-Hill will shortly make their way to the middle.

England need 245 to win the series, while a New Zealand win will take us to a decider in Canterbury on Sunday.

Taking you through the first half of England's reply is Ffion Wynne.

England will have to chase down the highest score of the series so far. It looks like a good pitch and I think the only reason Heather Knight chose to bowl is because of how their batting has been going.

  13. NZ 244-8published at 50 overs

    It's not a four.

    It's not a wicket.

The bottom line is... England need 245 runs to win this game, and subsequently the series.

Poor Anna Harris. The fielders have all gone off and she has to wait out there for the decision!

  15. Umpire reviewpublished at 49.6 overs

    NZ 241-8

It's all going on! Danni Wyatt misfields in the deep and there's a check to see whether her foot was on the rope when she tried to recover the ball.

The throw comes in and there's an appeal for a run out. We go to the TV umpire - first to check whether it was a four and, if not, we'll look at the run out.

An eventful way to finish the innings!

The England players are looking at Danni Wyatt as if she could've put more effort in to stop that, but it's further away from her than you think - and it's very sunny. I can barely see a thing today.

  17. NZ 241-8published at 49.4 overs

Wallop! Katey Martin is down on one knee and launches Davies to the square-leg boundary for a one-bounce four.

Freya Davies executes her back of the hand slower ball so well. It's the hardest to pick out of all the England bowlers. Hannah Rowe completely lost her shape, she was nowhere near it.

    Rowe b Davies 15 (NZ 236-8)

A back-of-the-hand slower ball from Freya Davies, a big swing and a miss from Hannah Rowe and the ball clips the top of the stumps.

  20. NZ 232-7published at 49 overs

New Zealand can't find the boundaries, but it's more down to some good bowling from England rather than poor batting.

Nat Sciver concedes four from as many deliveries, before a loose ball outside the off stump is drilled by Martin and Heather Knight stops a certain boundary with a fantastic diving stop.

Seven from the over in total.
