Greg: If you take away the five boundaries that Bonner has hit he has scored SIX runs from 112 balls. Makes Boycott look like a T20 specialist. Great mental effort though.

  2. WI 138-4published at 66 overs

    Minimum 5 overs remaining

Four more to the meticulous Nkrumah Bonner as Stokes drops one short and wide.

The umpires meet for a chat at the end of the over ... but they're going to carry on.

  3. WI 134-4published at 65 overs

    Minimum 6 overs remaining

It was a great catch from Zak Crawley in fairness, diving one-handed to his right.

Another maiden for Jack Leach, and we're still going.

And Ben Stokes is still bowling?!

  4. Not outpublished at 21:17 Greenwich Mean Time 12 March 2022

Holder survives as replays show a gap between bat and ball, and his bat hitting the floor.

    Joe Root is not amused.

  5. Umpire reviewpublished at 21:16 Greenwich Mean Time 12 March 2022

England think they have Holder caught at slip.

They have no reviews left, but the umpires take it upstairs. The soft signal is not out.

  6. WI 134-4published at 64 overs

    Minimum 7 overs remaining

    Hmmm.

Ben Stokes pulls up as he is about to release the ball and grimaces. He gestures to Root that he just tripped, but is there any point in him carrying on? Should he really be bowling now anyway, with the draw pretty much guaranteed?

He follows it with a no-ball that Bonner crunches to the point boundary.

England have done all they possibly can. Leach has looked much more assertive and although a draw must be strong favourite, from England’s perspective it would be a winning draw.

  9. WI 129-4published at 63 overs

    Minimum 8 overs remaining

Joe Root questions the shape of the ball so the umpires try and force it through the hole-shaped thing. Seems a bit futile, but who knows? Could a different ball be the key to England taking six wickets in eight overs?

  10. WI 125-4published at 62 overs

Ben Stokes has absolutely nothing left.

Everyone's looking very tired. I suspect we might see some shaking of hands soon.

Am I the only one that thought I saw a clear deviation of the ball near the bat on the review that wasn't out? In other news, Ben Stokes is an absolute machine (so Terminator maybe??).

Chris Woakes toils, with no luck. Meandering towards a draw now, with the resolute Bonner and Holder giving nothing.

    10 overs to go.

Stokes twists and turns his torso, bends to touch his toes and shakes his legs in attempt to kickstart his body for one last push.

He finds some decent reverse swing, almost sneaking through Bonner's defence. A maiden.

Just the two from another fine Leach over. His shoulder must be getting sore - what a shift he has put in.

Speaking of putting in a shift, here comes Stokes.

Credit to Nkrumah Bonner, who is following up his first innings hundred with another solid effort here. He has 25 from 103 balls.

    Gritty.

Yep, a clear spike on UltraEdge and Bonner survives. Oh how Craig Overton would have liked a wicket.

  18. West Indies reviewpublished at 20:44 Greenwich Mean Time 12 March 2022

Oooh! Craig Overton, who was banging the ball in short, pitches a surprise full delivery and Nkrumah Bonner is given out lbw.

He reviews immediately, nodding his head confidently as if to suggest he's hit it.

Louis Yates: This is essentially corridor cricket with Leach bowling. Someone shout "one hand one bounce" please!

While a draw may be likely, one huge positive England can take from this game is the performance of Jack Leach.

After a tough winter - in fact, a tough two years - this should give him so much confidence. Plus he should have four wickets, really, if they'd reviewed that Holder lbw.
