  1. Ind 125-3published at 31 overs

    Need 95 from 96 balls

Four for Mithal Raj! It's her release shot, as she lofts over Anya Shrubsole at mid-on.

Are India judging this well? It feels like they are in control, but a wicket or two will put England as strong favourites.

The left-arm spin of Sophie Ecclestone is indeed back into the attack.

She's got figures of 1-15 from her six overs.

I think Sophie Ecclestone is coming back into the attack, so Izzy gets her wish.

  4. Ind 120-3published at 30 overs

    Target 220

"Good, Skip. Keep going Hev", shouts Amy Jones as Heather Knight bowls three successive dots at Harmanpreet Kaur.

India need 100 off 102 balls. The run-rate is creeping up a smidge each over.

What might be on England's mind now is that this partnership is worth 36. They are both very accomplished and experienced, so do they bring on their strike bowlers in Cross and Ecclestone?

  6. Ind 117-3published at 29 overs

    Target 220

At this stage England were 131-3, but they made a bit of a mess of their final 18 overs to be honest.

India need another 103 runs. This is going to be a lot of fun.

In case you're just joining us, here are the three India wickets to fall.

I think she's too modest to bowl herself more.

  9. Ind 112-3published at 28 overs

    Target 220

A sloppy bit of fielding by Nat Sciver gifts India a single. You don't say that too often about Sciver, she's a gun fielder.

An attempted sweep is missed by Harmanpreet Kaur and it misses the stumps and Amy Jones. "Good, Hev", shouts Amy Jones behind the stumps.

I'd say the only criticism of Heather Knight's captaincy is that she is reluctant to bring herself on.

We don't see enough of Heather Knight bringing herself on to bowl. She transformed the Test match when she came on.

Heather Knight has brought herself into the attack.

England are getting through their overs quickly here, trying to scurry it through.

  14. Ind 105-3published at 27 overs

    Target 220

The run-rate continues to creep. It's up to 5.75 now.

When will India panic? Any aggressive shot has tended to get a batter into trouble today.

This game is bubbling up nicely. The equation doesn't look particularly onerous for India but every time a batter has tried to attack on this pitch, they have lost their wicket.

  16. Ind 101-3published at 26 overs

    Target 220

The required run-rate is 5.66 at the moment. It's creeping up all the time.

Some good running, particularly from Harmanpreet Kaur, sees the tourists take six off Nat Sciver. This partnership is worth 20 now.

India won't want that run rate to go over six an over. We know these two are struggling as it is.

  18. Ind 95-3published at 25 overs

    Target 220

The dark clouds are building around New Road. Will we get fortunate and miss it? It's also sunny, so quite frankly who knows what is going on. India are slightly below the DLS score after that wicket of Smriti Mandhana, so they will be hoping the rain stays away.

Just two singles off Sarah Glenn's latest over.

Rotation, or blooding players, is an interesting suggestion, but we want to approach it in the same way as the men's game in a build-up to a World Cup or Ashes.

But I would land on the fact any women's teams don't play enough competitive cricket to be resting or rotating cricketers.

  20. Ind 93-3published at 24 overs

    Target 220

Mithali Raj keeps the strike with a single to deep cover.
