    Hello, Mithali Raj!

She welcomes Nat Sciver to the attack with a booming drive back down the ground for four. She's started to show some intent after a slow start.

She has now overtaken Charlotte Edwards as the leading run-scorer in women's cricket, across all three formats. A legend of the game.

    Thanks Ffion.

We've got a game on our hands here. India need 132 runs from 144 balls. A cracker is in store.

I love that from Mithali Raj. She knows the run-rate is important, and that Sarah Glenn doesn't spin the ball, so it is a pretty safe shot.

  4. Ind 88-3published at 23 overs

Well that wasn't very Mithali Raj! She dances down the track to Sarah Glenn's first ball, clears the front leg and it goes over her head for four.

Hoping to see a bit more of that will be Callum Matthews, who is here to see you through to the conclusion of this game.

It might actually help Harmanpreet Kaur to go out and play her natural game and be attacking.

  6. Ind 83-3published at 22 overs

Nat Sciver comes on for her first bowl of the day.

Harmanpreet Kaur really whacks the floor with her bat in her stance, as if she has some real personal beef with it. Mithali Raj turns her down for a quick single that would've got her off the mark, so that won't help with the frustration.

It is not a good shot from Smriti Mandhana, she was playing across the middle. It was probably hitting leg stump, but it was very much out.

  8. Ind 81-3published at 21 overs

Another batter under pressure comes to the crease in Harmanpreet Kaur. She safely negotiates her first ball from Glenn but that was a huge wicket for England.

    Mandhana lbw b Glenn 49

Sarah Glenn strikes in her first over!

It's the second 49 of the game and Mandhana, who was playing so fluently, played all around a straight one from the leg spinner.

She looked at Mithali Raj about a review but was greeted by a definite shake of the head as if to say "don't bother, that was plumb". And it was.

We've had 20 overs now, so we've got a game.

  11. Ind 79-2published at 20 overs

    Mandhana 48, Raj 4

Another maiden, with some very solid blocking from Mithali Raj. A familiar sight over the past week or so.

Pretty sure I walked past Sophie Ecclestone's boyfriend Craig and their adorable puppy celebrating her wicket a few minutes ago...

That is a beautiful shot from Smriti Mandhana, she just whipped it off her legs.

  14. Ind 79-2published at 19 overs

Sub fielder Fran Wilson does well to chase down a strong shot from Smriti Mandhana and restricts them to two.

No saving the next one though as Cross drops short and that's a freebie for Mandhana who pulls to the boundary.

  15. Ind 72-2published at 18 overs

Sophie Ecclestone really gets through her overs quickly, although there was only one taken from it.

India just taking a few overs to steady themselves.

    Mandhana 41, Raj 4

Mithali Raj is up and running with a four tickled fine, and she is eight runs away from overtaking Charlotte Edwards as the leading international run scorer in women's cricket.

    A dramatic over!

Mithali Raj comes to the crease and we all know how she's going to play this chase. Dig. In.

It was actually pretty tortuous stuff from Jemimah Rodrigues. She was scratching around.

There was all a waste of time really. All we really needed to do was tell Sophie Ecclestone to go back to her mark and bowl a peach of a delivery.
