All eyes are on Travis Head now. A couple more into the off side take him to 96 from 80 balls...

Andy H: Hopefully Leach doesn’t get criticised heavily, it is Root and management to blame for how they have managed Leach - barely played a test. Our spinner strategy is non-existent.

The lights are coming on. I doubt England would mind if bad light stopped play.
Ben Stokes limps through another over. He's grimacing badly after one delivery.
Bad for today. Bad for the series.

The three main seamers have bowled outstandingly today and that bodes well for the rest of the series.
England will review their selection and team at the toss.
Australia have played fantastically today. They have not let England settle at it. They have used their aggressiveness against the spinners to keep the seamers rotating.
Now, if you're just waking up you might want to turn back over and go back to sleep. England have worked hard today, but things have started to unravel in the last 45 minutes or so.
England had restricted Australia to 195-5 when Ollie Robinson removed David Warner and Cameron Green in successive balls just after tea, but Travis Head has counter-attacked since and is closing in on a century at way quicker than a run-a-ball.
Earlier Warner made 94 as he shared 156 with Marnus Labuschagne, who made 74, for the second wicket.
Robinson also got Harris earlier in the day so he's got three wickets, while Mark Wood had Steve Smith caught behind for 12 and Chris Woakes got Alex Carey.
There are a lot of issues with England though. Jack Leach has gone for more than eight an over in his 11 overs while Ben Stokes is struggling with a knee injury and Robinson is currently off the field too.
Oh... they've dropped catches and taken wickets off no-balls too.

Ollie Robinson has at least just wandered back onto the field which suggests his niggle isn't too bad.

The fastest century at The Gabba is on here.
Joe Burns took 102 balls against New Zealand in 2015.
Australia haven't been without their moments of fortune today. Root has a wry smile on his face as he watches the left-handed Head top-edge a sweep over slip's head.

Andy's message is not what England fans were hoping to read as they wake up. The field is spread now. These 35 minutes cannot go by quickly enough from Joe Root's perspective.

Andy Quick: The Ashes are over.

There are four overs to go until the new ball but, with Ollie Robinson off the field and Ben Stokes injured, England may not have a bowling attack to use it.

Haseeb Hameed took that nicely.
Cummins c Hameed b Root 12 (Aus 306-7)
A little bit of relief. Pat Cummins has turned one around the corner off Joe Root's spin to leg slip. He whacks his boot in frustration on the way off.

This is painful viewing and England haven't helped themselves.
David Warner made 94 but should have been out for just 17 when he was bowled off a no-ball by Ben Stokes. Rory Burns also put him down, an absolute sitter, on 48 and Haseeb Hameed should have ran the opener out too.

When it rains it pours...
A top-edge flies away for four. Travis Head has 82 from 67.
Stokes' run-up is little more than a walk. England's walking wounded are hurting. Travis Head helps himself to four more. He's going to get a hundred here.
