What's going on here? Oh, they are checking for a short run.

Hmmm, it's tight but Nat Sciver has her bat over the line by a millimetre or two, surely? Apparently not, it is given as one short and England's two becomes one.

    Not sure about that.

As long as she's got gravy with the mash, that is no bad thing.

I saw Beth Mooney today and she's in good spirits. She's had surgery and says she can just about eat some mashed potato!

Alana King has a window breaker in the backyard as a kid, according to her brother. They had to move to the front yard instead.

Imagine finding out stories about Sam Billings last week? Or Charlie Dean or Maia Bouchier in the summer when they made their debuts? Excellent stuff.

England are ticking along nicely on the field, with eight runs coming from Tayla Vlaeminck's final over. She finishes with 0-29 from her four overs.

I'd expect, going at this rate, England would be aiming for 170, 180. Australia are the favourites but if England can win tonight, it could change the dynamic of the seies.

  6. Eng 87-1published at 11.1 overs

The Australian TV coverage is so good, isn't it? They are now interviewing Alana King's parents in the stands.

Nat Sciver is the new batter. She has a LOT of power and could really propel England's total if she gets going.

She was beaten, looking to dab down to third, first up but then works two singles into the on side. Australia will want to get her cheaply.

    Well batted, Danni Wyatt.

She moves to her ninth T20 international half-century with a single down to mid-off.

It comes up off 39 balls with five fours and two sixes.

That is what King did during the WBBL - she's got a golden arm.

Beaumot was looking to knock it into the leg side and just spooned it up.

Breakthrough! Alana King has a maiden international wicket.

Tammy Beaumont looks to work King, who seems intent on targeting the stumps, into the leg side but a leading edge loops up for a simple return catch.

    Australia needed that.

  14. Eng 82-0published at 10 overs

    Wyatt 49-0, Beaumont 30

Tammy Beaumont looks to pre-meditate another of those paddles over the keeper, but Tahlia McGrath reads it and delivers a slower ball.

Beaumont has to wait and wait and wait and she ends up swotting it out to deep square leg for a single.

England haven't lost a wicket at the halfway mark. Pinch yourself.

Wyatt loves that shot. She can play it to almost any delivery.

  16. Eng 80-0published at 9.3 overs

That is an absolutely gorgeous shot. Danni Wyatt picks up four more over the covers with a simply sublime shot.

Wicketkeeper Alyssa Healy says Australia have "probably bowled a bit wide" on the TV coverage.

Meg Lanning returns to the pace of Tahlia McGrath.

Vlamenick is beating Wyatt for pace. All she can do is knock the ball down to deep third for a single.

  19. Eng 74-0published at 9 overs

    Wyatt 43, Beaumont 28

Really good over from Tayla Vlaeminck - she has given Australia some control back.

    Just four singles from it.

England will get up to 165 if they score at this rate throughout their innings. They'd have snatched your hand off for that at the start, I reckon.

  20. Postpublished at 08:49 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January 2022

Another change for Australia - they are constant at the moment.

Tayla Vlaeminck comes back into the attack. Her first over was good, her second over was not. What will her third bring?
