Speaking of which, here is that Beaumont drop.
England fall short to suffer second defeat out of two in World Cup
England's chase of 226 undermined by loss of regular wickets
Beaumont top-scores with 46
England drop five catches and concede 21 wides
Campbelle and Nation put on 123 for fifth wicket
West Indies fall from 81-0 to 98-4
Sam Drury and Ffion Wynne
Speaking of which, here is that Beaumont drop.
Target 226
Hayley Matthews bowls the final over of the powerplay and concedes just three singles.
England should still chase this comfortably but that Dottin catch has certainly changed the tempo, and Beaumont has been dropped already so it hasn't all gone smoothly.

This is a fascinating passage of play. England will back themselves to chase this total down - and they should with the batting line-up they have. But, all of a sudden, there is a different feel to this game.
Target 226
England captain Heather Knight comes to the crease and nearly plays on to her stumps second ball.
You've got to feel for Lauren Winfield-Hill. Desperately out of touch, gets gifted a ball to crunch to the boundary and one piece of brilliance sends her packing. Cricket can be cruel, but will we see Emma Lamb take her place in England's next match?

That is an unbelievable piece of athleticism from Deandra Dottin. We see it every time we watch West Indies. She's pushed off that left leg and just plucked it out of the air - everyone in this commentary box is absolutely loving it!
Winfield-Hill c Dottin b Connell 12 (Eng 31-1)
Oh. My. Word.
You will not see many better catches than that. What a BEAUTY.
No description I write of this will do it justice, so you'll have to wait for the video. But having just dropped a chance at backward point, Deandra Dottin has leapt full length to her left in the same position and plucked the ball from thin air.
It was short and wide from Connell, thumped by Winfield-Hill who must've thought it was heading to the boundary, but it's somehow been caught.
Target 226
Again mirroring the West Indies' innings, both openers have now had a life each.
Matthews and Dottin threw their starts away - can England's pair make the most of theirs?

She timed the jump so well and if anyone was going to take it, it was her. She would expect to take that.

The best fielder in the world palms it over the bar and that's a life for Winfield-Hill. I don't know whether every member of each team has dipped their hands in butter before this match!?
Tough, tough chance. But Deandra Dottin is possibly the world's best fielder at point and she would back herself to take this.
It was flashed hard and fast at her, she put in an impressive leap to get one hand to it and attempt to parry the ball up to take it on the rebound but it just went too far behind.
A great effort.
Target 226
Just the three overs from Chinelle Henry's over.
England haven't looked as fluent as Dottin and Matthews did in West Indies' powerplay - most of their runs have been gifted to them from wides.

Anisa Mohammed got herself into a real muddle at slip, it should have been taken. She parried the catch and then England set off for the run and I think Lauren Winfield-Hill would have been struggling if the throw had hit. Nearly a double play.
Target 226
You've got to feel for Shamilia Connell. She has been inconsistent with the wides but has caused trouble when she's got it right, as she did then.
Can Tammy Beaumont make the most of the extra life she's been given?
Add another one to the tally.
A big drive from Beaumont draws the outside edge that flies quickly to Anisa Mohammed at slip but straight to her - and it's put down. Tammy Beaumont is very lucky.

If West Indies wanted to continue the momentum from the end of their innings, it has been completely sapped away already. Good start for England.
Target 226
We mentioned England's lack of discipline with their wides but West Indies are matching them for it.
Another three come from Chinelle Henry's over, as well as a glorious cover drive for four from Tammy Beaumont.

hypocaust: Tammy Beaumont & Lauren Winfield-Hill now have the most runs as an opening partnership in ODIs for England women, overtaking Caroline Foster & Sarah Taylor's 1,239.
Target 226
Lauren Winfield-Hill looks like she is feeling the pressure.
A streaky upper cut flies down to third man but the fielder is positioned quite wide and it lands safely.
The very tall Connell is finding some awkward bounce for Tammy Beaumont, who is not quite as tall, to contend with.

I think he's going to come on. I reckon it's about 75% of the way there.
