I think that is perfectly fine. It was about knee high by the time it got to him. He just didn't time it properly. With his power he should have been able to put it into the stand.

    Whiteley c Howell b Milne 4 (Brave 135-6)

One last twist? Adam Milne so deserves this as Brave batter Whiteley hits a full toss straight to a fielder. They check whether it's a no-ball but it's absolutely fine.

  3. Brave 135-5published at 9 balls left

Adam Milne begins his last five balls. This is surely the last throw of the dice for the Phoenix.

  4. Brave 134-5published at 10 balls left

Need 18 runs from 10 balls

I told you it wold be close! For the Phoenix to get back into it they needed to get rid of De Grandhomme, who can hit a big ball. But Jordan is no slouch. It just requires sensible cricket. They don't need to go too hard. Run and take the singles too.

Big Colin goes! His head rocks back after he edges a swipe to Imran Tahir.

  10. Brave 125-4published at 15 balls left

Need 27 more runs to win

Overthrows! Ross Whiteley taps, runs and there's no-one backing up the throw at the stumps. The Southern Brave pair sneak a second.

  11. Brave 122-4published at 17 balls left

It's tight. It's tense. The Southampton crowd sings big Col's name.

It was unnecessary. Conway has batted beautifully and it was an unnecessary stroke. It should have been a punch up ground to get the man on form on strike and win the game. Birmingham Phoenix feel now there is an opening.

He is making light work of this, Devon Conway. He took some balls to get going and now it is benefitting him. He has the pace of the pitch and wickets in hand.
