Warm applause from the Southern Brave bench and the stands as local lad James Vince reaches his fifty from 30 balls.

Very smart cricket from Vince. He is playing everything with the spin instead of against it. He is putting the pressure back on the Birmingham Phoenix. It is not going to be easy, but with two set batters they can pull it off.
The win predictor has this game at 57%-43% in Brave's favour. There's a long way to go yet.
Need 95 more runs to win
James Vince has 45 from 26 balls now after a sweep off Moeen splits the fielders in the deep.
This was his huge hit at the start of the innings...
Brave are going well. They were just ahead after 25 balls and that has continued in the last few balls...
Argh. You don't want to give lives to Devon Conway.

It is a great example for the kids here watching the game. You don't necessarily play a slog shot to hit a six. You can play with a straight bat. A proper cricket shot.
It's over to Benny Howell now. He's the seamer who reckons he has 50 slower-ball variations...
But this is all about James Vince! He plays the most sensational drive through the air. The ball goes all the way for six and he holds the pose as it goes. Brilliant.
Need 113 more runs to win
It's a good tussle between big Colin de Grandhomme's mullet and Imran Tahir's flowing locks for the best hair of this game. I'm going with Imran.
He has the orange headband on which matches the Phoenix kit. He's got red and orange boots too. On point.
The leggie makes a good start.

It is an interesting approach to Conway, digging the ball in short, Perhaps they think he is susceptible to it. He has shown his skills in the Tests. He has also had a good time of it in T20 arena with New Zealand.
It's time for Imran Tahir and his glorious hair.
Need 119 more runs to win
That's a better set of balls from Tom Helm. After he got Vinced earlier he finds a better line and length to keep Conway tied down.

Very good start from the Southern Brave. Vince has looked far and apart one of the best batters on this pitch. He hit one pull shot that went miles.
New Zealand's Devon Conway makes run-scoring look as easy as ABC. He's off the mark.

It backs up my point about keeping Adam Milne going. He has not been too short or full. Disappointing for De Kock, but enter the run machine Devon Conway.
De Kock c&b Milne 3 (Brave 27-1)
And it's not going to be Quinton de Kock's day today. He goes for a big hit, gets a leading edge which goes a mile in the air and bowler Adam Milne steadies himself before taking the catch.
I gave Quinton de Kock the big build-up and he's hardly had a look in. This has been the James Vince show.
