Decent start this, it's certainly a good attendance too.

Walking around the ground earlier, there seemed to be a real buzz about the place, plenty of MCC members in too.

  2. Invincibles 24-1published at 20 balls

Canny stuff from Deandra Dottin, mixing up her pace and conceding just that four from her first set of five balls.

  3. Invincibles 24-1published at 18 balls

The Invincibles are certainly getting plenty of streaky runs here.

An inside edge from Alice Capsey flies just under the tumbling keeper Amara Carr and away for four.

I bowl bouncers if I see a batter walking towards me, that's always my default reaction.

But to see a 16-year-old playing at Lord's in her first big occasion, she's certainly not overawed by it.

Capsey is showing some terrific intent.

  5. Invincibles 20-1published at 15 balls

Good response from Naomi Dattani, keeping it tighter as Alice Capsey can only pick up two more with a chip shot.

The superb Deandra Dottin is about to enter the fray with the ball.

  6. Invincibles 18-1published at 11 balls

Naomi Dattani comes on and sends down a loose delivery that Alice Capsey - who is facing her first ball with all the action having been down the other end - wallops away for four.

    Bad ball, put away brilliantly.

Bit of misfortune there for Freya Davies in that second set of five, she didn't really get what those deliveries deserved.

Some welcome boundaries there as well for the Invincibles after that difficult start.

  8. Invincibles 14-1published at 10 balls

Grace Gibbs throws the bat at it again. And edges it again. But this one runs away rapidly and that's four.

Freya Davies still causing problems but those are useful runs for the visitors.

  9. Invincibles 10-1published at 9 balls

Freya Davies bowls a couple of wides, adding to her run of deliveries.

Another edge runs towards the boundary but Susie Rowe puts in a fine dive to prevent a couple of runs.

  10. Invincibles 7-1published at 7 balls

Shot! Gibbs flicks her wrists crisply to whip the ball through the leg side to the boundary for four.

It's going to take all the teams a round of games to work out what their best formula is.

An early wicket will force you in to having to adapt your plans and just try different combinations at the top of the innings.

  12. Invincibles 2-1published at 5 balls

Brilliant first set of five from Freya Davies, getting the ball to swing and really testing the batters.

Grace Gibbs gets two via a streaky outside edge to get her team off the mark.

Will Davies get another five in a row?

    Of course.

What a start! Just an inside edge from a full ball that was starting to swing away.

Big early wicket that for the London Spirit as a bit of rain starts to fall.

    Adams b Davies 0 (Invincibles 0-1)

Bang!n Slower ball from Freya Davies and it totally foxes Georgia Adams, who flicks it onto her own stumps and is bowled without scoring.

It was a low full toss really, but Adams completely mis-timed her shot.

  15. Invincibles 0-0published at 1 ball

Superb first ball by Freya Davies, full and swinging in, hitting the pads.

Big appeal for lbw but the umpire says no. And Heather Knight opts against a review - probably going on to miss the stumps.

London Spirit are taking up their positions on the outfield at Lord's.

And here come Oval Invincibles openers Georgia Adams and Alice Capsey.

Freya Davies will open the bowling.

    Here we go...

    I really enjoyed bowling here.

I played on some wickets towards the edges of the square in the T20 Blast this season with some short boundaries, but I really enjoyed it.

The Lord's slope always comes into it and hopefully they'll be some spin too.

It's always a great place to bat, but I'm going to back the spinners to go well today.

Quickly before this game gets under way, a bit of news in the men's competition.

South African wicketkeeper-batter Dane Vilas has joined the Northern Superchargers at a temporary replacement for compatriot Faf du Plessis.

Batter Du Plessis will miss the next two matches because of concussion and Vilas is available for the Superchargers when they face Trent Rockets tomorrow.

There's no dress code or age limit required in the Lord's pavilion today.

That's a sign that things are very different indeed in The Hundred.

Kids are allowed in there as well.
