Matthew Wade didn't even really appeal; he just celebrated. He knew that had been nicked.

He must have known that he'd hit that. That is really weird.
Hasaranga c Wade b Starc 4 (SL 94-5)
A very thin spike and Hasaranga has to go! A strange review.
More trouble for Sri Lanka and Australia are on the charge.

I've already wrote that this is out in my notebook. It looked like he smashed it.
Has the fun been short lived?
A big swing and a miss, taken by the keeper and Aleem Dar gives it out but Hasaranga reviews immediately. Interesting.
Here we go!
Hasaranga drives his first ball from Starc and gets a thick edge down to third.
The wonderfully entertaining Wanindu Hasaranga is the new batter. He's one player who can change a game very quickly. I hope we're in for some fun.

It was too full for Avishka Fernando to play that shot. It was one of the most simple catches Steve Smith will take in his career.

Adam Zampa has bowled really well and that might encourage the two Sri Lanka spinners. He has bowled excellently and Sri Lanka just haven't been able to get after him.
Avishka c Smith b Zampa (SL 90-4)
Adam Zampa has changed the game for Australia!
Lovely bowling, offering some flight and tempting Avishka into the big shot that is skewed straight up in the air.
Are Sri Lanka going to throw away their promising start?

This is a real key passage of play for both sides. They have two new batters at the crease, which is never ideal, but they do have a platform.

Starc effortlessly sends down another 90mph yorker that Avishka does well to jam his bat down on.
Australia have seized the momentum back nicely.
Bhanuka Rajapaksa is the new batter. He hit 53 from 31 balls in Sri Lanka's chase against Bangladesh so he's another man in decent form.

That is a brilliant comeback from Mitchell Starc. He went pace on and executed the yorker perfectly.
Perera b Starc 35 (SL 86-3)
Wow again! Good luck playing that. A 90mph yorker destroys Perera's stumps.
Another big wicket for Australia. I guess that's what you get for hitting Mitchell Starc into the stands.

Aleem Dar raised his arms for that six almost like he was celebrating the shot. What a magnificent blow.
Wow.
There are no words other than wow.
It's in the slot but the sound off the bat is euphoric. Smashed into the second tier!
No Maxwell yet. Mitchell Starc returns.

Now would be a good opportunity to bring Glenn Maxwell back into the attack. He went for 16 from his first over but that was during the powerplay when Sri Lanka were going well.
