It doesn't look like the greatest surface to strike the ball on.

Shimron Hetmyer attempted some aggression, but this was the consequence.

If someone gets in they could score quickly but it just doesn't look likely. From this position you are looking to score 130.
Shakib's first over goes for four singles. Hard to believe this is the West Indies batting - we've had two boundaries in this innings so far and we're halfway through!
The players take a drink and time for a much-needed tactical discussion.
Shakib Al Hasan, who earlier looked as if he was struggling to run in the outfield, is evidently fine as he's having a bowl.

Nobody has managed to get going in this innings.

Instead of the WI preparing a winners song during the build up for the competition, how about they focus on actually performing. Sad to see, most are there on reputation than performances
Ashley. Croydon
This is getting rather ... painful?
There just seems to be no confidence out there. Roston Chase is hanging on with 17 from 23 balls, so having a set batter might be key towards the end of the innings.

It feels like the West Indies boys are stuck a little and not sure which direction to go in - guns blazing or rotating the strike.
What can West Indies do from here? It's hard to tell if this is a tricky pitch, very good bowling or very bad batting. Probably a bit of all three.
Either way, some sixes would be ideal.
Taskin Ahmed finds the edge of Pollard's bat but it just drops short of the keeper and they scamper through for a single.
Batting looks impossible at the moment.

Every time West Indies have tried to play an aggressive shot they have lost a wicket. It is not looking promising.
Two wickets fell in the powerplay, including the big scalp of Chris Gayle, who was promoted to open.
Or is he a big wicket any more? Debatable.
Kieron Pollard is the new batter and it's going to take some 'captain's innings' if he can dig West Indies out of this.

It was the right option but the execution was not right. With the limited bounce the ball found the toe of the bat.
Hetmyer c Soumya b Mahedi 9 (WI 32-3)
The drop doesn't cost much!
Hetmyer goes for the big shot down the ground but it comes off the toe of the bat and gifts a simple catch to long-on.
He glares at the bottom of his bat as he trudges off the field. It's always the bat's fault, of course.

It surprised Mahedi Hasan. I think you probably expect to catch that.
Not great cricket all round, this.
Mahedi drops the ball short, Chase goes for a straight-ish pull shot but straight to the bowler who puts it down - the ball just over his head. Looks like it caught Mahedi by surprise.

West Indies would have expected to get away and hit some boundaries. They would have targeted 45-60 in the first six overs. Bangladesh bowlers have found a length that is difficult to score from.
